This position is a specialized insurance sales role with a niche driven insurance firm. Because of this the firm offers its producers the path to successful sales careers because of the concentration in several classes of business all falling underneath the commercial auto header. It also means you’re not restricted to a certain geography; the agency writes public auto and passenger business nationally. It also means you’re provided a tailored prospecting system eliminating concerns other producers sometime have about spending a lot of time simply trying to find business their agency can and will want to support.
Senior Insurance Producer, Commercial Auto Responsibilities:
- You’ll focus on building a personal book of commercial auto business with classes such as limousines, charter buses, school buses and taxis. You can write accounts anywhere in the country but will have more than enough prospect opportunities in the Tri-State area as well as the greater Northeast region.
- You’ll work closely with the existing team locally to promote opportunities for building a referral base, partnering on client service initiatives and working with local underwriters to strengthen company relationships.
Senior Insurance Producer, Commercial Auto Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of property and casualty insurance sales experience with a retail agency in the greater New York City/Long Island area.
- Successful track record of insurance production including all phases of the process- identifying and soliciting prospects, developing submissions and negotiating with markets, closing business and consulting with clients on higher level account and even claims issues throughout the year.
- Knowledge of public auto and livery business is not required; someone with broad knowledge of commercial auto policies can definitely transition to this specialization.
- State insurance license.
