Health and Group Benefits Actuarial Analyst Responsibilities:
- Perform cost projections, analyze vendor renewals, estimate future plan costs and price existing medical and prescription plans. Assist in the development of customized pricing and valuation tools.
- Analyze area and network expansions to project trends and repricing updates. Develop employee benefits contribution strategies to meet the employer's cost projections, plan design needs and short and long term funding goals.
- Work closely with the sales executives and the leadership team to execute project management goals. This may include creating and maintaining spreadsheets on data, preparing reports and accompanying producers on presentations to discuss findings with clients.
Health and Group Benefits Actuarial Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial sciences, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
- At least 3-4 years of actuarial analytics experience with group health and employee benefits products. Experience with data analysis and reporting. Prior work at a benefits consulting firm is highly desired.
- Proficiency with actuarial tools (Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic and/or comparable applications).
