We are a growing independent insurance agency in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, specializing in Employee Benefits, looking for a unique professional who considers himself/herself a bright, energetic, organized, fun, team player in the workplace environment. Candidate must be able to juggle multiple responsibilities and the day-to-day excitement that comes with working in the small to mid-size group market. (< 500 employees)
You will take the lead in identifying appropriate carriers for marketing, comparing and evaluating proposals, preparing financial and benefit analyses (spreadsheets), marketing exhibits (PowerPoint/Word/Excel), and organizing plan implementations. You will also work with fellow teammates handling client service functions, confidently addressing advanced benefit questions, dealing with PPACA, keeping our CRM system up-to-date, and supporting additional special project(s), as need be.
Requirements:
• MUST HAVE PRIOR GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE EXPERIENCE
• Should be actively licensed in life/health in the state of Illinois
• Able to successfully develop and compose presentations in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Additional Skills/Requirements:
• Advanced, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; including data entry, formula functionality, etc.
• Be energized to come to work each and every day
• Ability to work easily alongside others
• Have superb oral and written communication skills.
• Meet and exceed client expectations with exceptional sales and service
• Uphold a positive, “whatever it takes” attitude

• There will be opportunities for business development; however primary focus will be serving as a point of contact for the agency’s existing clients.
Duties:
• Responsible for implementing new client launches including carrier involvement, communications campaign, employee correspondence, implementing and adhering to a project timeline, communicating program specific to client and information exchange (file transfers, enrollment systems, etc).
• Responsible for routine service, which includes the development and execution of service schedule, and coordinating questions/initiatives with the client and carriers
• Meets with clients alone or in conjunction with our team according to standardized client meeting schedules.
• Conducts marketing efforts on your book of business.
• Reviews agreements and/or documents such as employee booklets, carrier contracts.
• Responsible for explaining new benefit offerings and communication strategies to existing clients.
• Develop prospective client proposals.
