Our client is a large regional insurance brokerage looking to expand in their Grand Rapids location. They seek motivated and successful candidates currently in a sales role for a retail agency. They have all of the proprietary products and services of a large national agency, but still the culture of a growing, entrepreneurial regional agency. The ideal candidate will have the ability to infuse a spark into the business development process and really network at a high level to generate multiple revenue streams.
Sales Executive, Commercial Lines or Employee Benefits Responsibilities:
- Ability to create an aggressive business marketing plan to drive revenue in a 3-5 year period.
- Ability to network at the C-level to determine the customer’s business needs and subsequent insurance requirements.
- Cross-selling additional lines of coverage to round out accounts.
- Up-sell and renew existing clients with additional products and services.
Sales Executive, Commercial Lines or Employee Benefits Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience working in an independent agency setting.
- Ability to transfer existing book of business a plus — willing to purchase the book when possible.
- Must possess applicable state insurance license, with additional professional designations a plus.
