Commercial Lines Account Manager-Milwaukee, WI

This opportunity is with a large regional agency in the Milwaukee area that has an immediate need for a Commercial Lines Account Manager.  The ideal candidate will be able to jump right into the role and make an immediate impact.  Previous agency client service background would be very helpful.

Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities:
  • Act as first point of contact for incoming client calls regarding claims, billing, coverage questions and policy changes.
  • Service clients through their policy renewals, the implementation and monitoring of comprehensive risk management strategies.
  • Responsible for policy administration such as creating schedules of insurance, billing, endorsement processing, and policy checking.
  • Perform a variety of relationship management activities which maintain close contact with clients and deepen the relationships including opportunities to cross sell and round out accounts.
  • Assist in developing long term strategies, including evaluating risk exposures and recommending insurance solutions that meet clients' needs and protect their assets.
  • Select appropriate insurance carriers based on refined knowledge of risk appetites and competitive landscape.
  • Work with underwriters to obtain quotes, tailor coverage, and negotiate rates.
  • Electronically file and maintain organization of client documentation and communication records in agency management system.


Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience working with commercial lines risks, preferably in a retail agency setting.
  • State insurance license required, with professional designations preferred.
  • Applied Systems EPIC experience a huge plus.
