Marketing Representative-Statewide, CA

Our client is a leading Property and Casualty insurer and rated “A+” (Superior) by A.M. Best Company. They are currently seeking a Marketing Representative in the Bay Area ( Santa Clara territory ) Bay area = San Jose, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Mateo to manage agency relations, ensuring that our client establishes and maintains the primary position for their automobile lines of business and strategic position for the other lines of business for each agency in the assigned territory. In this role you will also negotiate growth and profitability targets and monitor agency progress toward those targets. Prospect assigned territory for agency appointments and book transfers.

Marketing Representative Responsibilities:
  • Regular agency calls to foster company/agency relationships, increase flow of business to the company and provide agency service as necessary.
  • Negotiate agency premium and product mix objectives quarterly for each assigned agency.
  • Maintain working knowledge of competitor companies and products and report significant competitor developments to marketing management.
  • Monitor agency performance of loss ratio, premium volume distributions and product mix and report any unusual trends to marketing management.
  • Implement and monitor PIP and/or Book Analysis plans as needed.
  • Solicit and negotiate prospective agency appointments or book transfers.

Marketing Representative Requirements:
  • 3 or more years of insurance carrier Marketing experience within an Independent Agency environment.
  • Background with property/casualty products in particular auto.
  • Completion of the CIC and/or CPCU designation programs preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
