Vice President, Technology Producer-Chicago, IL

Our client continues to see significant success in its commercial risk management division based largely on the sales and service team’s ability to execute the vision of the executive leadership.  Firms of their caliber are considered progressive and highly attractive to experienced producers because typical agency limitations (location and specialty resources) are not an issue in retailers that identify themselves as true commercial brokerages.

This opportunity is the first of its kind for the company. Building a brokerage model requires vertical expertise under the larger commercial risk management umbrella.  Some of their current clients have a significant technology exposure, so it stands to reason this will continue to be an opportunity for consultation with future clients.  This position, Vice President, Technology Producer, will serve as a key addition to the sales team and be the technical expertise within the firm on all technology related matters.  You’ll be asked to target businesses that aren’t necessarily technology based firms but have with significant tech exposures as a result of their overall operations (i.e. mainframe equipment, cyber liability, etc.).

A qualified candidate for this role is a seasoned retail producer (probably at least 7-10 years of retail brokerage sales experience) with a demonstrated track record of being the door opener.  Though you’ll be a product specific expert within this company it’s not a value added position to the support staff.  You need to find thrill in the hunt and be experienced in getting in front of large, sophisticated commercial accounts either by identifying technology issues as the lead in or recognizing it’s a significant exposure that you can handle writing.
