Senior Healthcare Data Analyst-Indianapolis, IN

The Senior Healthcare Data Analyst role for this insurance brokerage will lead a newly created practice within the employee benefits practice.  The agency’s goal is to redefine the way it approaches client consultation with a selling point in its value proposition being through a sophisticated data analytics approach.  They have invested substantially in the resources to mine and interpret data that can then be used to predict performance, plan changes and trends.  In this role you will lead the data analytics group and oversee all activities related to workflows, procedures, capacity, reporting and best practices.

Senior Healthcare Data Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Develop methodologies for using data analytics tools; manage reporting, visualizations, dashboards and statistical graphs to illustrate findings. Apply statistical and actuarial techniques to interpreting medical claims and healthcare data.
  • Deliver findings and develop communication strategies to sharing information with the sales and client management teams; also be able to discuss reports and presentations with clients.
  • Handle supervisory responsibilities including the hiring, training and development of a data analytics team; handle performance reviews; attend leadership meetings to continue the integration of the health risk management unit into the group benefits practice.

Senior Healthcare Data Analyst Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; must offer experience with business analytics (predictive and comparative, actuarial science, health data and data management systems).
  • In depth knowledge of group medical claims and data related to health risk management.  Ability to develop reports and presentations for clients.
