Products are offered through distribution partners, which include wholesale brokers, retail brokers and designated managing general agents/underwriters (MGAs/MGUs) in the U.S. and abroad. They currently offer an opportunity to join their organization in their Chicago location.. In this role, Senior Technology Underwriter, you will review and evaluate professional line (Media, MPL, Tech and Cyber) policies, risk assessments, and rate setting.
Senior Technology Underwriter responsibilities:
- Participate in prospecting through the identification of new business targets and opportunities.
- Review and evaluate new and renewal business.
- Analyze and underwrite individual risks. Develop appropriate limit structure, retention, pricing and endorsements within authority granted.
- Manage personal book of business.
- Cross market between the product offerings within the department.
- Perform broker marketing calls. Solicit new accounts, gather market intelligence and deliver up-to-date department information relating to products and services.
Senior Technology Underwriter requirements:
- Four (4) to seven (7) years or more of commercial E&O underwriting experience.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong financial analysis background
- Strong computer skills and experience
- Strong marketing abilities
- Established or the ability to establish broker relationships within the region
