Commercial Lines Account Manager, Large Lines-Boston – North Suburbs, MA

Our client is an independent insurance brokerage recognized as a regional leader in the size and scope of their risk management operations. They are a relationship driven firm focused on impacting many specialized property and casualty markets. This position is a client service role that will handle administrative and client relationship duties as a commercial lines account manager.  The unique aspect of this role is its focus in larger commercial accounts often termed risk management clients.

Commercial Lines Account Manager, Large Lines Responsibilities:
  • Assist the producer with the ongoing client communication and policy administration functions; provide excellent customer service to accounts as well as represent the client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality.
  • Oversee the complete service cycle from new business binding to policy administration, renewal preparations and proposals.
  • Execute the written service procedures including online rating, marketing, proposals, endorsements, billing and claims reporting as well as other time sensitive client service procedures.

Commercial Lines Account Manager, Large Lines Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • At least five (5) years of property and casualty insurance experience is required.  Most applicable is experience spent on the retail agency side as an account manager.
  • The minimum account size you’re accustomed to handling must be $20k in revenue or above $200k in premium per policy.  This includes commercial accounts with complexities such as alternative funding arrangements and E&S placement.
  • Excellent oral and written communication; able to articulate complex issues, receive and interpret concerns from the client, and respond proactively to issues.
  • Can work independently and is able to manage the entire client service process from new account set up to renewal management.
  • State insurance license.

Our client is a regional insurance agency who is actively looking for someone to manage a mid-sized team of commercial lines Customer Service Representatives, Account Managers, and Supervisors.  The ideal candidate will have current experience overseeing a team to execute team goals, professional development, and daily service process and procedure.

Director of Commercial Lines Account Management Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for staffing, onboarding, and aligning of service teams to proactively ensure appropriate support based on the current book and expected growth to efficiently manage the client service platform.
  • Ensure the team has the tools, resources, and support to ensure successful achievement of goals and execution of the service plan.
  • Ensure that each employee has development plans in place to ensure professional growth and achievement of long term career goals.
  • Responsible for semi-annual review of all employees on the team.
  • Knowledge of carrier/market trends and information.
  • Manage the implementation of the client service platform across all clients.
  • Act on information provided by monthly scorecard review to improve in each area measured to achieve desired goals.
  • Lead and drive team strategic goals and related project plans to completion.

Director of Commercial Lines Account Management Requirements:
  • 10-15 years of professional experience, with at least five in a management capacity, preferably for a retail insurance agency.
  • Experience working with larger, complex accounts with construction niche a plus.

Commercial Lines Account Manager-Milwaukee, WI

This opportunity is with a large regional agency in the Milwaukee area that has an immediate need for a Commercial Lines Account Manager.  The ideal candidate will be able to jump right into the role and make an immediate impact.  Previous agency client service background would be very helpful.

Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities:
  • Act as first point of contact for incoming client calls regarding claims, billing, coverage questions and policy changes.
  • Service clients through their policy renewals, the implementation and monitoring of comprehensive risk management strategies.
  • Responsible for policy administration such as creating schedules of insurance, billing, endorsement processing, and policy checking.
  • Perform a variety of relationship management activities which maintain close contact with clients and deepen the relationships including opportunities to cross sell and round out accounts.
  • Assist in developing long term strategies, including evaluating risk exposures and recommending insurance solutions that meet clients' needs and protect their assets.
  • Select appropriate insurance carriers based on refined knowledge of risk appetites and competitive landscape.
  • Work with underwriters to obtain quotes, tailor coverage, and negotiate rates.
  • Electronically file and maintain organization of client documentation and communication records in agency management system.


Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience working with commercial lines risks, preferably in a retail agency setting.
  • State insurance license required, with professional designations preferred.
  • Applied Systems EPIC experience a huge plus.

Commercial Lines Account Manager-San Antonio, TX

Our client is a well-respected regional insurance agency that has been around for over fifty years.  They are growing their practice in San Antonio and are looking for dynamic insurance professionals to join their team.  They are currently looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their team.

Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities:
  • Prepare new client submissions in accordance with internal marketing standards for submission to carriers.
  • Coordinate the development and maintain individual client service schedules in the agency management system and ensure delivery of value-added services.
  • Maintain client data integrity through regular maintenance and oversight of updates of applications, schedules, etc.
  • Review company audits for accuracy, invoice and follow up on additional premiums as required.
  • Prepare renewal marketing submissions in accordance with internal renewal timelines.
  • Evaluate loss analysis and ensure accuracy prior to submittal on new or renewal business.
  • Assist in the cross-sell and rounding out of accounts.
  • Prepare premium finance contracts and company financing as needed.

Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • State Property & Casualty license required within 90 days of hire.
  • 3-5 years of account management experience, preferably in a retail agency setting.
  • Experience working in the construction niche a plus.

Commercial Account Manager, Oil and Gas Responsibilities:

  • At least five (5) years of insurance career experience specifically handling energy/oil and gas accounts.  Experienced with the unique nuances of these risks, policy forms and even placement with surplus lines carriers.
  • Strong knowledge with all property and casualty lines including General Liability, workers compensation, commercial auto and so on.
  • State insurance license.

Our client is a large regional insurance agency that is in immediate need of a Commercial Lines Account Manager.  The ideal candidate will have experience working with larger real estate clients and preferably within an agency setting.  It will also be critical that you possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and the flexibility to easily adapt to changing priorities.

Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the renewal of current client business by providing renewal notices to the team.
  • Assist in the renewal process by preparing rough draft coverage summary, ordering loss information from the carrier, preparing premium summary as directed, processing and issuing renewal forms, requesting renewal quote from present carrier, updating and completing coverage, providing analysis for the department manager’s review, sending submissions to new markets, reviewing quotes and initial preparation of proposal, and processing renewed accounts.
  • Participate in the new business marketing process as directed.
  • Execute changes requested on policy and monitor for receipt of company endorsements, provides premium breakdowns, coordinates custom binding orders, and arranges loss run schedules for client.
  • Responsible for resolution of account criticisms.
  • Makes arrangements for client premium financing.
  • Participates with producer in decision-making process on client credit balances over 90 days.
Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements:
  • Associate of Arts degree or equivalent education and/or experience, preferably in an agency setting.
  • State P&C license required.
  • Experience working with real estate accounts a huge plus.
