Assistant Director Of Personal Lines-Jacksonville, FL

Our client insures thousands of homes, businesses and condominiums within the state of Florida. They presently offer an opportunity to join their personal lines underwriting staff in a lead role.  This position is responsible for helping develop process and strategies to improve the personal underwriting operations to ensure the attainment of company objectives. This position will provide oversight leadership to project, special assignment or underwriting teams.

Assistant Director of Personal Lines Responsibilities:
  • Lead in the development and monitoring of the annual goals for Personal underwriting
  • Conduct underwriting file reviews with underwriting leadership to ensure compliance with underwriting manuals and procedures
  • Develop analytical qualitative and quantitative reports related to the book of business and report on business or project progress and other business activities
  • Participate in the budget planning and monitoring process
  • Provide feedback on underwriting internal and external audit results and make recommendations for organizational improvements

Assistant Director of Personal Lines Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree MBA OR CPCU, AIC, PLCA or CLCS designation
  • 8 or more years of experience in property insurance underwriting operations with 6 or more combined years including experience in personal underwriting
  • 3 or more years supervisory/managerial experience
  • Practical understanding of the Florida insurance environment
