Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager-Barrington (Northwest Suburbs), IL

This position, Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager, is unique to similar roles in other independent agencies because it will be the senior most client service manager within this small but growing independent firm in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.  The position takes an "all hands on deck" approach required when you work in a smaller company that includes responsibilities for directing workflows, going out on sales calls with the producers and ensuring quality standards for policy administration are met.


Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • You'll be the subject matter expert for all commercial lines accounts with particular emphasis on larger, complex property and casualty accounts.  You'll handle RFPs, renewal preparation and client stewardship matters (including attending review and sales meetings).
  • You'll handle policy administration duties alongside a junior associate. This includes endorsements, billing, claims and submitting renewals to market.



Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred but equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • At least 3-5 years of property and casualty account management experience with an independent agency in a role where you are responsible for all aspects of the client management process including direct consultation with the account and backroom processing.
  • Must have exposure to middle market accounts.
  • State insurance license is required.
  • This is a salaried position with full benefits and no travel required.

Commercial Insurance Producer, Agriculture-IA

  • At least 4-5 years of commercial insurance sales experience with an agency in Iowa.  Must have successfully written agribusiness related accounts. 
  • Strengths in cold calling, networking and new business origination.  Entrepreneurial spirit, able to open a new territory and work independently to build it into a profitable book of business.

Deputy General Counsel-Des Moines, IA

Commercial Lines Account Manager-Chicago, IL

This independent agency in Chicago is seeking a new Commercial Lines Account Manager to immediately provide policy administration support.  The agency has doubled in size over the past five years.  With this growth comes the need for an accomplished property and casualty technician to support the backroom servicing of accounts.

   
Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities:

Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager-Chicago, IL

  • Work closely with a team of junior, support associates to handle the onboarding of new accounts and prepare renewals.  This includes your oversight of information gathering, meeting submission deadlines, maintaining accurate files (and completed applications) and analyzing claims and loss control data.
  • Help coordinate marketing efforts including selection of markets to work with on a renewal case, manage expectations for coverage and pricing with underwriters, and communicate back to the producer on anticipated results for RFPs.
  • Participate in policy administration including policy review, endorsements, audits, contracts, surplus lines, service requests, binders, billing and cancellations.




Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least five (5) years of similar experience at a senior commercial account manager or account executive level for a retail insurance agency.
  • State insurance license.

  • Articulate, driven, and well educated with the desire for resources and mentorship from an agency to build a sustainable insurance career. 

Compensation is commensurate with experience and provides a base salary with additional commissions on annual new business revenue.

Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager Responsibilities:
  • Develop and continually improve the underwriting quality and marketing talents of underwriting team including underwriters, associate underwriters and assistant underwriters.
