Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager-Barrington (Northwest Suburbs), IL

This position, Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager, is unique to similar roles in other independent agencies because it will be the senior most client service manager within this small but growing independent firm in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.  The position takes an "all hands on deck" approach required when you work in a smaller company that includes responsibilities for directing workflows, going out on sales calls with the producers and ensuring quality standards for policy administration are met.


Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • You'll be the subject matter expert for all commercial lines accounts with particular emphasis on larger, complex property and casualty accounts.  You'll handle RFPs, renewal preparation and client stewardship matters (including attending review and sales meetings).
  • You'll handle policy administration duties alongside a junior associate. This includes endorsements, billing, claims and submitting renewals to market.



Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred but equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • At least 3-5 years of property and casualty account management experience with an independent agency in a role where you are responsible for all aspects of the client management process including direct consultation with the account and backroom processing.
  • Must have exposure to middle market accounts.
  • State insurance license is required.
  • This is a salaried position with full benefits and no travel required.

Commercial Lines Account Manager-Naperville, IL

Commercial Insurance Account Manager-Detroit, MI

As a Commercial Insurance Account Manager with this Detroit based independent agency, you'll be responsible for stepping into a team that is experiencing terrific growth and needs an knowledgeable client professional to help take on new and existing clients.  This is a family owned company where producers, executives and account managers are all working together for the same goal.  It doesn't have a lot of corporate segmentation that comes with bigger insurance brokerages.  To assume this new role you must have enough property and casualty technical knowledge and account management experience to work independently and handle everything involving the administration of policies post-binding from billing and claims to renewal marketing.


Commercial Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary client service point of contact to the insured handling a host of different issues that come up including changes in exposure, additions and cancellations of policies, billing and claims concerns, renewal preparation and marketing; creating RFPs and communicating with the sales team on updates pre-closing.
  • Answer questions about coverage and pricing, create and execute the renewal cycle, coordinate all renewal marketing and create RFPs.
  • Be a resource for producers and client service colleagues concerning markets, coverage issues and claims.



Commercial Account Manager Qualifications:

  • Five (5) or more years of commercial insurance experience; most with an agency as a CSR or account manager. 
  • Must have experience being the primary point of contact on a book of business handling not just administrative tasks but also direct client contact, some marketing and renewal management.
  • Familiarity with an agency management system like TAM or Applied is very helpful.
  • State insurance license.

Commercial Lines Account Manager-Denver, CO

This position, Commercial Lines Account Manager, will immediately assume an established book of property and casualty clients and require your oversight with the entire policy administration process.  The agency is a highly specialized independent firm in Denver where producers target growing accounts that often lack internal risk managers. Therefore, you and the producers are critical to guiding the insured through the annual lifecycle of their insurance program.  It allows you to be consultative with respect to risk management services, funding considerations and important renewal factors they should consider.   You will delegate simple policy management tasks to the account assistants but personally manage marketing, RFPs and ongoing account maintenance with a large concentration in casualty accounts including contractors.



Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities:

Our client is a large independent insurance agency that is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their team in downtown Denver. They are seeking a dynamic team player that is accustomed to a fast-paced environment and able to work with internal and external partners to provide world class client service to customers and prospects alike.

Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities:
  • Prepare new client submissions in accordance with internal marketing standards for submission to carriers.
  • Coordinate the development and maintain individual client service schedules in the agency management system and ensure delivery of value-added services.
  • Maintain client data integrity through regular maintenance and oversight of updates of applications, schedules, etc.
