Our client has a strong existing commercial lines practice within its Knoxville location with a terrific, close knit staff. The team anticipates additional growth in its practice which means the agency is looking for a new hire that will come in to help support the current book of business and serve as the main point of contact on new business. To step into a new role a qualified person must have enough property and casualty technical knowledge to work independently and handle everything involving the administration of policies post-binding from billing and claims to renewal marketing.
Commercial Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary client service point of contact to the insured handling a host of different issues that come up including changes in exposure, additions and cancellations of policies, billing and claims concerns, renewal preparation and marketing; creating RFPs and communicating with the sales team on updates pre-closing.
- Answer questions about coverage and pricing, create and execute the renewal cycle, coordinate all renewal marketing and create RFPs.
- Be a resource for producers and client service colleagues concerning markets, coverage issues and claims.
Commercial Account Manager Qualifications:
- At least five (5) years of commercial insurance experience as an Account Manager or Account Executive. Underwriting experience will be considered but you must offer some career experience for a retail agency in a client service role.
- Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred; pursuance of continuing education like CIC, AU or ARM is highly desired.
- Large account experience exceeding $100k-$200k in premium.
- Broad coverage proficiency in general liability, commercial auto, large property, and workers compensation.
- State insurance license.
