Our client is a leading full services independent insurance agency. They are looking for a senior level client services executive to assist their dynamic and growing team in Kansas City. You will provide strategic planning and consulting advice to customers and prospects on a regional and national basis.
Account Executive, Employee Benefits Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the producer, serve as the primary operations liaison for clients for all group insurance issues.
- Interface effectively and confidently with senior management of clients and/or prospects.
- Meet with clients quarterly or as necessary to discuss a variety of topics including renewal and marketing efforts, carrier selection and/or financial negotiations.
- Oversee/approve all vendor, plan design, and financial recommendations.
- Write executive summary for annual renewal/marketing report.
- Review drafts of all employee communication pieces.
- Review and sign off on all agreements and/or documents.
- Schedule and lead all client meetings and attend enrollment meetings as necessary.
- Coordinate and direct the efforts of all team members to fulfill service responsibilities, objectives, and the overall effectiveness of the team.
- Direct complex underwriting and funding issues and strategies.
Account Executive, Employee Benefits Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- 8-10 years of industry experience in a similar high level role, preferably with a large consulting firm or insurance agency.
- State Life/Health license required with additional designations such as CEBS and RHU preferred.
- Working knowledge of different financial arrangements and products available to clients, as well as state and federal legislation and legal issues related to the insurance industry.
