Our client is a large regional insurance brokerage looking to expand in their Employee Benefits division of their Ann Arbor office. They seek motivated and successful candidates currently in a sales role for a retail agency or applicable carrier sales background. Their approach is different than most as they have more of a consultative and holistic approach to sales and have the resources available to differentiate themselves from the competition. They have had success in the past with tenured sales professionals that are looking for something different. They are poised for explosive growth and want individuals with a past history of sales success in a fast-paced environment.
Employee Benefits Producer Responsibilities:
- Ability to create an aggressive business marketing plan to drive revenue in a 3-5 year period.
- Ability to network at the C-level to determine the customer’s business needs and subsequent insurance requirements.
- Cross-selling additional lines of coverage to round out accounts.
- Up-sell and renew existing clients with additional products and services.
Employee Benefits Producer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of sales experience working preferably in an independent agency.
- Ability to transfer existing book of business a plus — willing to purchase the book when possible.
- Must possess applicable state insurance license, with additional professional designations a plus.
