Our client is a growing boutique consulting firm that focuses on employee benefits and is looking to expand their business development division. They are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate who is looking for a challenge as an Account Director. You will serve as the face of the organization and more of a true practice leader to grow the customer base with a wide range of proprietary products and services. The ideal candidate will have vast experience working with the C-suite and having the technical expertise to counsel complex and sophisticated clients and prospects.
Account Director, Employee Benefits Responsibilities:
- Serve as practice leader, primary contact, and key strategic advisor to clients.
- Address client needs proactively and provide strategic creative solutions targeted to exceed expectations.
- Manage relationships with internal team members, as well as clients, prospects, carriers, and resources for compliance, actuarial services, and data analytics.
- Manage the development and maintenance of client-specific business plans and adhere to project management work sheets, ensuring the team’s work quality and timelieness.
- Prepare agenda and conduct meetings, presenting complex material with credibility and a professional executive presence.
- Build understanding of all pertinent regulatory compliance issues and keep informed of current changes to develop a qualified ability to speak and address client compliance needs.
- Pursue new business through internal leads and individual centers of influence.
Account Director, Employee Benefits Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required.
- 5-10 years minimum experience working with larger health and welfare accounts.
- State Life and Health license required with industry designations a plus.
