Our client is a well respected regional insurance agency in the greater Detroit area and is looking for explosive growth in their employee benefits division. They are a traditional agency where much of the revenue is driven from Property & Casualty revenue and their desire is to balance that with strong Employee Benefits growth. They have a committed leadership team in place that is ready and willing to support, mentor, train, and prepare a new producer for success in the middle market space. The ideal candidate will have the ability to bring new and innovative ideas to the table from day one to target new business development in that space.
Employee Benefits Producer Responsibilities:
- Ability to create an aggressive business marketing plan to drive revenue in a 3-5 year period.
- Ability to network at the C-level to determine the customer’s business needs and subsequent insurance requirements.
- Cross-selling additional lines of coverage to round out accounts.
- Up-sell and renew existing clients with additional products and services.
Employee Benefits Producer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3-7 years of sales experience working preferably in an independent agency.
- Ability to transfer existing book of business a plus — willing to purchase the book when possible.
- Must possess applicable state insurance license, with additional professional designations a plus.
