Vice President of Claims Responsibilities:
- This is a high-level position that will have overall responsibility for the entire claims staff.
- The successful candidate will manage all claims specialties, including Casualty, Property, Primary, Excess and Reinsurance.
- This hands-on leader will assure a professional and consistent presence in claims operations and files, ensuring achievement of organization objectives, key organizational initiatives, and close oversight of the department.
Vice President of Claims Requirements:
- This position requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of diverse experience with commercial lines property and casualty claims.
- You must offer proven ability to oversee and direct claims practices and methodology; Set goals that support corporate objectives.
- Design processes and procedures to ensure that goals are attained.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and legal requirements.
- Convey working knowledge of contract and tort law, coverage analysis, claims investigation, valuation and adjusting techniques, and litigation management.
- Solid understanding obtained from a continued hands-on approach of case value and proper reserving.
- Proven effective leader and manager of people.
- California claims handling experience required.
