Our client is an independent, multi-state agency driven by a full service platform that includes commercial risk management and large corporate benefits. The agency’s offices are in growth mode, and this position, Group Employee Benefits Producer, will meet those expansion plans in addition to addressing perpetuation. The goal of this position is to put capable sales executives in a position to develop a profitable book of business with locally and regionally owned businesses seeking cost savings and appropriate support for group medical coverage. Most of these cases will range in size from 50-500 employees.
Group Employee Benefits Producer Responsibilities:
- Establish a three year business development plan targeting accounts within your personal network along with capitalizing on cross selling opportunities with the agency’s commercial lines team.
- Identify connections between Omaha and Lincoln based businesses to parts of South Dakota, Iowa, Kansas and Colorado to expand the agency’s sales footprint.
- Place a greater emphasis on complex cases needing experience rated, self-funded options.
- Participate in the group benefits division’s growth through input on marketing, staff development and community involvement.
Group Employee Benefits Producer Requirements:
- At least three (3) years of group life and health sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Successful track record of business development; able to show a sales pattern derived through networking, cold calling and use of company and/or retail agency resources.
