Our client has a long and successful history of providing quality insurance products that dates back over 50 years. Today, they are among the top 50 Property and Casualty Insurance companies in the country and rank as one of the largest writers of automobile insurance through independent insurance agents. They presently offer an opportunity to join their organization as a Director, Product Management in their Atlanta area office.

Director, Product Management Responsibilities:

As Director of Product Management for the client’s direct-to-consumer business, you will independently develop and manage personal automobile insurance products and key analytical processes within client company’s small but growing Direct business. A key strategic initiative for the company, the Direct business requires a seasoned manager to take accountability for the profit and loss of the division. Since the Director of Product Management position manages a portfolio of seven states, there is significant interface with Product Managers in the Independent Agent channel, as well as the National Marketing and Customer Intelligence teams.

Director, Product Management Qualifications:

MBA or other Advanced degree preferred, 4-year college degree required with strong mathematics scores. Completion of requirement for a professional designation such as ACAS, FCAS, or CPCU is a plus.
Demonstrated understanding of auto insurance pricing and product management process with track record of success and/or significant analytical contribution leading to improvement in processes of product standards.
A minimum of eight years of analytical or insurance profit and loss experience.
A minimum of six years as a successful Insurance Product Manager preferred.
Prior supervisory experience required.
Advanced understanding of PC-based business software packages, including current spreadsheet, data base, and word processing software such as Access, Excel, Word, and other software that is deployed by the Company to support the product management functions.
