Commercial Lines Account Manager, Large Lines-Atlanta, GA

Our client is an independent insurance brokerage recognized as a regional leader in the size and scope of their risk management operations. They are a relationship driven firm focused on impacting many specialized property and casualty markets. This position is a client service role that will handle administrative and client relationship duties as a commercial lines account manager.  The unique aspect of this role is its focus in management liability.   In servicing this book you’ll be exposed to a variety of property and casualty coverage lines however a large portion of the premium, and the reason why expertise is helpful, is with Directors & Officers and Errors & Omissions coverage. The consistent connection between insureds is their classification as risk management accounts.

Commercial Lines Account Manager, Large Lines Responsibilities:
  • Assist the producer with the ongoing client communication and policy administration functions; provide excellent customer service to accounts as well as represent the client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality.
  • Oversee the complete service cycle from new business binding to policy administration, renewal preparations and proposals.
  • Execute the written service procedures including online rating, marketing, proposals, endorsements, billing and claims reporting as well as other time sensitive client service procedures.

Commercial Lines Account Manager, Large Lines Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • At least five (5) years of property and casualty insurance experience is required.  Most applicable is all of these experience spent on the retail agency side as an account manager.  However, some underwriting experience in management liability/executive protection combined with just a few years of brokerage experience will definitely be considered.
  • The minimum account size you’re accustomed to handling must be $20k in revenue or above $200k in premium per policy.  This includes commercial accounts with alternative funding arrangements or international exposures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication; able to articulate complex issues, receive and interpret concerns from the client, and respond proactively to issues.
  • Can work independently and is able to manage the entire client service process from new account set up to renewal management.
  • State insurance license.
