Our client is a progressive independent broker with deep roots in the Boston insurance community. This position is an important role created because of growth the agency is experiencing in its higher education practice. The account management responsibilities are similar to any other commercial insurance book of business, however in this position you’ll serve as a critical component of meeting the needs of educational institutions, universities and private secondary schools.
Commercial Account Manager, Education Responsibilities:
- You’ll assist producers and other account managers with marketing and servicing a large book of business.
- You’ll participate in all phases of the client management process, from renewal preparation and marketing to policy administration and claims.
- Frequent involvement with clients- accountability for accuracy of policies, execution of agency service commitments and timely response to requests.
Commercial Account Manager, Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required; pursuit of continuing education and/or industry endorsements will be supported by the agency.
- Active state insurance license.
- At least five (5) years of property and casualty insurance experience with much more than surface exposure to higher education accounts.
- Proficiency with coverage forms and policies related to insuring schools and universities.
- A background working for an agency is most desired but knowledge gained from underwriting or placing these risks for an insurance company or wholesale broker will be considered.
