The account manager
function in this insurance agency is to be a significant contributor within the
service team and work to support the policy administration and client
communication needs alongside the producer. A goal is to maintain a high level
of retention by satisfying client needs, being aware of account challenges and
working ahead to best manage renewals.
Senior Commercial
Lines Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Help manage a book of business that will include several complex, larger property and casualty accounts. You'll help the team remain organized and focused on service requests. You'll also help manage inquiries and obtain timely responses on coverage questions, billing, claims and endorsements.
- Manage the renewal process from start to finish. Gather and review data including values, claims history and loss reports. Meet project deadlines and prepare submissions for marketing. Review coverage forms, pricing and exclusions. Help the producer prepare and present proposals.
- Work closely with your colleagues in the service team as the subject matter expert on complex issues. Work with junior associates on areas where they can improve their knowledge or client management skills. Participate in trainings and help lead meetings.
Senior Commercial
Lines Account Manager Requirements:
- College degree or equivalent work experience; at least five (5) years of property and casualty client management experience with knowledge of account management processes and procedures, underwriting and marketing duties and direct client communication/consultation.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; any related agency management systems experience and rating with online carriers is a plus.
- Demonstrate the core values of respect and professionalism required for working in a close knit team.
