Our client is a large, national insurance brokerage looking to expand in their Dallas location. With recent growth, they have a need for a Producer in their Employee Benefits division. You will work closely on a daily basis with their Practice Leader to aggressively and profitably grow their book of business. You will work soup to nuts on new client/business development, primarily in a start from scratch scenario. They seek a dynamic individual who is willing and able to roll up their sleeves in an entrepreneurial environment where expectations are very high.
Employee Benefits Producer Responsibilities:
- Ability to create an aggressive business marketing plan to drive revenue in a 3-5 year period.
- Ability to network at the C-level to determine the customer’s business needs and subsequent insurance requirements.
- Cross-selling additional lines of coverage to round out accounts.
- Up-sell and renew existing clients with additional products and services.
- Act as a subject matter expert regarding all group insurance products.
Employee Benefits Producer Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience working in an independent agency setting or for a direct writer.
- Ability to transfer existing book of business a plus — willing to purchase the book when possible.
- Must possess applicable state insurance license, with additional professional designations a plus.
