Our client is a growing regional insurance agency in the Detroit area that is looking for a dynamic individual to join their team. They have an immediate opening for a Senior Account Manager in their commercial lines division. The ideal candidate will have experience working on larger complex accounts and will be accustomed to being in front of the clients on a routine basis.
Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide support and guidance in the handling of new and renewal business to further enable the sales team to develop new business sales and enhance existing client relationships.
- Solidify client relationships by providing exceptional customer service, maintaining and expanding current accounts, and developing relationships with carriers and external vendors.
- Show ability to work independently and with little supervision to carry out all job duties.
- Attend and participate in carrier meetings and presentations when applicable.
- Perform competent financial analysis including understanding of income statements, balance sheets, P&L statements, S&P and Moody ratings.
- Provide coverage analysis with the ability to identify and understand the differences in indemnity agreements, service agreements, and carrier contract policy wording to client exposures
Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements:
- 7-10 years of industry experience, preferably in a retail agency setting.
- State insurance license needed with additional professional designations a huge plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to large, complex risks.
