New Business Account Executive-New York, NY

Our client is a large national brokerage that has created a new role within their commercial lines division.  As the New Business Account Executive you will support sales staff through the complete sales cycle from qualifying and cultivating new business opportunities to ultimately writing new business.

New Business Account Executive Responsibilities:
  • Work with producers and prospects to collect pertinent underwriting information to create a complete and detailed insurance submission for insurance company consideration.
  • Create detailed submissions to include Acord applications, exposure spreadsheets and coverage specifications.
  • Responsible for managing the timing and information flow for multiple sales opportunities at any one point in time while communicating the status of an opportunity to senior management.
  • Apply basic proficiency of loss analysis, SIRs, Retrospective Rating/loss sensitive plans on account activity as needed.


New Business Account Executive Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-7 years related professional experience working on larger accounts.
  • Completion of one more more CPCU exams preferred, with additional professional designations a plus.
  • Experience working with construction and real estate risks preferred.
