Employee Benefits Producer-Chicago, IL

Our client is a large regional insurance agency that is looking for a sales professional to join their team in a B2B sales environment. The ideal candidate will have experience calling on mid-sized to large employers regarding a comprehensive health and welfare platform.

Employee Benefits Producer Responsibilities:
  • Ability to create an aggressive business marketing plan to drive revenue in a 3-5 year period.
  • Ability to network at the C-level to determine the customer’s business needs and subsequent insurance requirements.
  • Cross-selling additional lines of coverage to round out accounts.
  • Up-sell and renew existing clients with additional products and services.
  • Act as a subject matter expert regarding all group insurance products.

Employee Benefits Producer Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience working in an independent agency setting or for a direct writer.
  • Consistent track record of over performance in B2B setting (presidents club, circle of excellence, top performers club, rookie of the year, etc.)
  • Experience selling to senior HR, Finance, or IT buyers (strong preference for experience with companies with 500 to 2000 ee’s).
  • Strong background in initiating own opportunities.
  • Must possess applicable state insurance license, with additional professional designations a plus.
