with risks with a heavy exposure to mechanical and electrical breakdown, and
business interruption. They are currently seeking an Underwriting Manager with
large industrial risks (including Energy) property focused underwriting
experience.
Large Account
Property Underwriting Manager Responsibilities
- Manage a team of underwriters; Assign and distribute accounts
- Establish or modify underwriting guidelines for various classes of business
- Participate and collaborate in company management team responsibilities with business development, marketing, claims, finance and operations
- Participate and collaborate in development of new offerings or opening a new target market
Large Account
Property Underwriting Manager Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, mathematics, or related field
- Engineering background a plus
- CPCU designation is a plus
- Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in property underwriting, large industrial risks (including Energy)
- Heavy machinery or Engineered Risks experience acceptable
- Five or more years of demonstrated success in an underwriting management leadership role
