Group Employee Benefits Producer-Chicago, IL

If you're a successful insurance producer with a strong track record of new business sales finding a job with an agency in Chicago isn't difficult.  The tricky part is identifying an opportunity that is compelling, unique and is a situation where if you join the firm you can offer the agency something it doesn't have and vice versa.  The firm described here is a large, well respected independent agency in Chicago that offers its producers a defined plan for sales success and even opportunities for future leadership.  Coming in as a new producer at this point in the agency's history will not only help the company achieve its top line growth goals but also provide a perpetuation solution when some senior benefits producers begin to think about retirement in the next few years.

Group Employee Benefits Producer Responsibilities

·        In this agency's environment you, as a newer producer, will be paired with a very successful senior producer.  As a team you'll work together to identify prospecting opportunities within the senior producer's current book.  You'll spend a large portion of your time independently prospecting but can rely on the senior staff's expertise to help with the technical details of marketing and plan design or with closing strategies.
·        You'll focus in the 100+ or self-funded client range.  Quite a bit of your business development will be done in Chicago but the agency has a reach that extends nationally with partners in offices throughout the Midwest.

Group Employee Benefits Producer Requirements

·        Bachelor's degree plus at least 3-5 years of group medical sales experience; the agency will consider business development experience from an insurance company but prefers similar independent agency sales experience.
·        It’s important you have an approach, a system if you will, to business development; you understand your production numbers and also what you need to be more successful in a new firm than what you're currently receiving.  You are comfortable working in a mentor/mentee role and are interested in a career path that offers successful producers opportunities to be in a strategic role.
·        State insurance license.
