Due to promotion, they offer an opportunity to join their home office commercial underwriting department in a key position as Commercial Property Product Manager role. Will manage commercial property lines of business to support client company’s business plan goals of profitability, manage growth and enhance competitive advantage.
Commercial Property Product Manager Responsibilities:
- Manages commercial property lines of business and directs underwriting efforts including coverage design and reinsurance issues.
- Manages all aspects of product from conceptual stages through product life cycle.
- Develops company policy, forms and endorsements.
- Serves as technical underwriting resource.
- Analyzes competitive market intelligence to identify trends.
- Develops company rules and guidelines.
- Coordinates bureau rule changes, form and rate changes.
- Monitors and reviews circulars, law changes and market trends.
Commercial Property Product Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, finance ideal.
- Five or more years of product management with an emphasis on commercial property coverages.
- Broad knowledge of classes of business including mainstreet, restaurants, public entity, agribusiness, hotels, churches, contractors, machine shops, retail.
- Ability to work independently as well collaboratively with other departments.
- Self managed. Takes initiative.
