Commercial Lines Account Manager - Memphis, TN


Our client has been in the risk management business for over 60 years and is one of the largest independent insurance brokers in the Mid-South.  They cater to both small and large market business clients and offer a diverse product line that includes employee benefits, safety consulting and claims services.  Due to growth, they currently offer an opportunity to join the service team as an Account Manager.

Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities
Monitor the speed, quality and efficiency of customer service follow through with a variety of industries including construction, manufacturing and wholesale.
Handle new and renewal marketing; negotiating with underwriters from national and regional carriers.
Participate in all aspects of the renewal process- analyzing current coverage, changes in exposure, claims history, billing, marketing strategy, RFPs and designing proposal presentations.

Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements
Bachelor's degree is highly preferred; commensurate experience will be considered.
Active state insurance license.
About 3-5 years of client service experience as a Customer Service Representative or Account Manager with demonstrated experience taking a lead role on servicing a high volume book of business or complex middle market accounts.
Experience with package policies involving work comp, property, general liability and commercial auto coverage.

Commercial Lines Sales Account Executive Job Description

Our client is a successful commercial insurance agency built around serving the needs of physicians and other healthcare businesses.  A tremendous opportunity exists to provide a complete suite of property and casualty insurance coverage to these accounts.  This position, Commercial Insurance Sales Executive, will focus on capitalizing on revenue through the agency's existing client base not currently being written.  This revenue will be derived from writing commercial package policies with an emphasis on property and General Liability coverage.

Commercial Insurance Sales Executive Responsibilities
Conduct proactive new business prospecting including cold calling and face-to-face visits; this can include existing client relationships or new ones you've developing in the agency's footprint.
Assess and discuss the client's insurance coverage needs; handle marketing and negotiations with underwriters as well as proposal presentations.
Work closely with existing healthcare sales team to arrange joint sales calls, update on client issues and track closing and hit ratios.
Represent the agency at trade associations and during visits from insurance company representatives.

Commercial Insurance Sales Executive Requirements
Bachelor's degree is required.
Approximately 2-5 years of property and casualty insurance experience with a sales emphasis on cross selling, upselling or new business solicitation through cold calling.
Broad property and casualty coverage background required.
Willingness to regularly travel.

Commercial Truck Producers - OH, IN, IL


Our client is a respected independent agency making significant contributions to the transportation insurance industry.  They seek a sales executive with commercial insurance experience to join their team.  Prior experience specializing in truck insurance is not required.  In fact, it’s preferred as the agency intends to train all of its new producers into large account sales as well as diversify into other commercial insurance niches.  Additionally, as the agency has grown sales executives have been hired remotely.  Working from home is an option in this position.  You would have support from other virtual offices outside of Ohio as far west as Chicago and as far south as Nashville.


Commercial Transportation Producer Responsibilities:
Target commercial transportation accounts, fleet and non-fleet, through a combination of industry networking, referrals and cold calling.
Develop a prospect pipeline through relationships that are your own; all types of business development methods can be utilized (cold calling, direct mailing, association networking and cross selling).
Participate in all phases of the sales process including ongoing client consultation and renewal marketing.

Commercial Transportation Producer Qualifications:
At least 2-3 years of commercial insurance sales experience with an independent agency.
Active P&C license.
Willingness to learn the nuances of insuring trucking companies; can travel to see accounts as needed; takes a consultative approach to sales.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and provides a salary with first year new business commissions.

Commercial Lines Underwriter - Atlanta, GA or Raleigh, NC

I"m working on a great commercial lines underwriting position with a terrific MGA that is looking for an underwriter in both Atlanta and Raleigh.  While they would prefer to find someone with an MGA underwriting background they are open to looking at someone that has carrier experience provided that they are comfortable stepping into a production underwriting role.  At the end of the day our client is looking for someone that has outgoing and professional personality that is comfortable actively calling on agencies both in person and on the phone.



Commercial Lines Underwriter

Our client is a multi-state Wholesale Broker/Managing General Agency with a great reputation in commercial program management.  An underwriter at the company is responsible for branding, building upon existing relationships and pursuing new business to grow the agency. These positions are a wonderful opportunity to blend traditional elements of desk underwriting with a forward thinking approach to production underwriting.  Success as an underwriter with this company sets you up for a great career in other areas of the company's leadership and marketing efforts.

Commercial Lines Underwriter Responsibilities:
Evaluate the performance and profitability of commercial insurance submissions from retail agents; core program areas include monoline or package policies with General Liability and commercial property; secondary and unique products like products liability, pollution, excess and umbrella can be included.
Make determinations on coverage, rates and special endorsements based on market conditions, underwriting guidelines and historical data (financial and claims reports) to build a profitable book of business.
Pursue marketing relationships in expansion territories; the Atlanta position will expand westward to do business with agents in Alabama; the Raleigh position will focus on Tennessee marketing.

Senior Production Underwriter Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
At least five (5) years of broad property and casualty underwriting experience; existing Southeast retail agency relationships are required whether that be previously from a production underwriting or commercial direct writer position or work as a member of a Managing General Agency or wholesale broker.
Ability to create and execute marketing plans that drive new business opportunities, brand the company in-state and in surrounding markets as well as take a broad approach to capturing a balanced amount of casualty and property business.
Some travel is required.

Commercial Lines Account Manager
Our client is a growing independent insurance agency with deep roots in the Springfield community.  Comprised of a small but close knit team, a "roll up your sleeves" mentality in client service is critical to the agency's continued success.  As Commercial Insurance CSR you're responsible for working closely with the producer to service a book of commercial insurance accounts.  You'll provide importance assistance with everything from policy administration to renewal preparation and marketing coordination.

Commercial Insurance CSR Responsibilities:
Provide timely and accurate feedback to client inquiries on existing policies with regards to policy amendments, billing, claims and upcoming renewals.
Participate in the renewal cycle from start to finish; gather update account information, compile submissions and secure renewals quotes.
Assist other team members with overflow of processing, certificates or answering incoming calls.

Medical Malpractice Producer
Assess risk and conduct field underwriting with prospects and clients.
Participate in the renewal process on the existing book of business.

I'm working with a client that is looking to enter the New Orleans market and make a splash.  They are looking for a high profile producer that has a strong track history of success in the area that can grow a book organically and eventually build an office in the area.  This organization is a strong middle market and risk management player with excellent market access and resources.  Additionally, they would be open to bringing a team of producers over as well or make an acquisition.  Below is a brief job description.



Managing Producer - New Orleans, LA

Our client is an established independent broker with large scale business operations on the Gulf Coast.  With the resources to insure a multitude of commercial, life and health and personal insurance risks, they have the capacity to provide programs for clients on a national scale.  

VP, Managing Producer Responsibilities:
You're responsible for achieving personal new business sales goals; you'll develop and manage other producers by example of your own production.
You'll play an active role in total client consultation, working closely with the service staff and shared agency resources to provide the appropriate risk management, claims and marketing advocacy.
You'll be the face of the agency's operations in northeast Mississippi by furthering marketing relationships, referral streams with local business professionals and become active in community organizations.
You'll weigh in on strategic decisions that affect the Tupelo office, from decisions on P&L to staff training, product diversification and new employee hires.

VP, Managing Producer Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required.
At least seven (7) years of independent agency sales experience; expertise can be either in commercial lines or group employee benefits provided your expertise is not in small group but middle market/mid-sized group business.
Ability to assume non-sales responsibilities like operations, marketing and employee development including producer training.

Construction & Bonding Producer Responsibilities:
You will actively seek new business through a variety of successful methods while also being involved in ongoing account consultation and retention.
You will be required to meet face-to-face to qualify prospects, tailor the program to their specific operations, and arrange for appropriate claims and loss control services.

Senior Marketing Specialist

Our client is a large, independent agency with expertise to create insurance plans for a diverse group of industries.   They have offices throughout the Mid-South and are recognized as a leader in several industries like transportation, real estate, construction and professional lines.  As their team develops resources for the future they seek an experienced senior marketing specialist for the Arkansas operations.   This position provides significant new business and renewal support to the sales and account management team.  More so, you'll have more time than client managers to spend building relationships with underwriters and wholesale brokers who can be trusted allies in securing competitive quotes.

Senior Marketing Specialist Responsibilities:
You'll review new and renewal information to ensure accuracy, consistency, and complete information to obtain insurance quotes.
