Medical Malpractice Sales Representative - Chicago ,IL

We are looking for a dynamic sales-oriented Producer to join a team in Chicago for a company that specializes in medical malpractice in the state of Illinois.  You will assist in day-to-day administration of the company's business development, marketing, and sales programs in accordance with the policies and goals established by management.  Along with the VP of Sales you will contribute to the development of the company's strategic plan.



Commercial Lines Producer, Medical Malpractice Responsibilities

Assess risk and conduct field underwriting with prospects and clients.

Participate in the renewal process on the existing book of business.

Make sales calls for prospective clients.

Promote and encourage innovation in processes, procedures, products, and services in the organization.

Responsible for directing research and analysis of business opportunities, assessing potential markets, competitor insurance programs, consumer research, and other marketing opportunities.

Building and maintaining successful relationships with key insureds, medical societies, medical group manager associations and other industry organizations in all target markets.

Commercial Lines Producer, Medical Malpractice Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred or applicable industry experience.

3-5 years experience working with professional liability products such as medical malpractice.

Commercial Lines Territory Marketing Account Executive (Carrier Rep) in Indianapolis, In

Our client is a specialty commercial insurance company that provides a variety of medical professional lines products, services and technology solutions to the healthcare industry. Specifically the company’s programs are designed to provide physicians, clinics, hospitals and healthcare systems with medical professional liability products in partnership with retail insurance brokers; in this case in the state of Indiana. This position, Territory Marketing Account Executive, is an opportunity for you to develop the insurance company’s brand within a defined region that has experienced success yet has many untapped opportunities to be discovered. Territory Marketing Account Executive Responsibilities:

Territory Marketing Account Executive Qualifications:
  • A college degree or some higher education combined with equivalent experience.  Studies in business, marketing, healthcare or a related field is helpful.
  • Strong sales experience within the property and casualty insurance industry; even more desirable is experience working with physician and hospital professional liability and medical malpractice products.
  • State insurance license.
  • Consultative sales and marketing approach, strong relationship building skills.  Can provide stewardship to insurance agents, clients and be a present a strong brand image for the company at industry events. Exceptional organization and presentation skills are required.
  • Must be willing to travel.

Medical Malpractice Insurance Producer - Statewide, TX

Our client is a multi-state independent agency focused on building continuous relationships with clients. They are a leader in providing business insurance, including group benefits, to a variety of industries. This position, Business Development Officer, is responsible for expanding the agency’s Texas footprint in commercial health care. Defined as middle market business, the core focus will be insuring doctors and hospitals within the state. In this role you are the primary business-to-business liaison for the agency with prospective clients. Your success will be measured by premium generation, client service and agency branding.
Business Development Officer Responsibilities:
  • Identify, solicit and service physicians groups, hospitals and other related commercial health care accounts.
  • Lead marketing efforts; help direct the agency’s resources in other offices to secure the best pricing and coverage with Texas underwriting contacts.
  • Assist with the state’s marketing strategy, help create marketing materials and participate at associations and trade shows to promote the agency’s resources.
  • Identify ways to round out the coverage through the sale of group employee benefits.
Business Development Officer Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and Texas state insurance license is required; pursuit of insurance sales training or designations is highly desired.
  • At least 3-5 years of demonstrated sales experience, particularly in the areas of successfully moving a mid-sized commercial account from the prospect through the closing stage.
  • Broad property and casualty product background; ability to manage relationships with underwriters to garner competitive pricing and coverage during the marketing phase.
  • Understanding of group benefits health plans is helpful as well as any prior medical malpractice or commercial healthcare product knowledge.
  • Able to regularly travel throughout the state with overnight trips.
**Note: this position has the option to work remotely and therefore can be located anywhere within the state of Texas.  However, working one day per week in Austin is required, so candidates will ideally be located within a few hours of Austin if not a local resident.

Medical Malpractice Sales Producer - Statewide Texas


Our client is a medical malpractice insurer in the process of expanding its sales force in Georgia and Florida. With established success in markets like Tampa, Jacksonville and Atlanta, these positions will translate the company’s sales platform into new areas that have similar growth opportunities.  In these two markets, Atlanta and Tallahassee, you’ll be responsible for serving as an insurance agent who works directly with physicians on securing competitive medical malpractice insurance and effectively manage risk exposures.
Medical Malpractice Insurance Producer Responsibilities
  • Execute a sales and marketing strategy in your designated territory; you are responsible for making cold calls to prospective clients (which are physicians) and once the account becomes a client you will also provide ongoing consultation and service as their agent and primary point of contact.
  • Responsible for building sales presentations, preparing proposals and facilitating the onboarding process with the internal service team of account managers.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade associations; develop expertise in medical malpractice regulations and trends; work closely with third party vendors particularly in securing endorsements and identifying cross selling opportunities.
Medical Malpractice Insurance Producer Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred; commensurate experience will be considered.
  • Approximately 2-5 years of property and casualty insurance experience in one of the following disciplines:
    1.  Either as an independent commercial lines producer seeking a specialization like medical malpractice, or
    2.  As a current medical malpractice specialist working in production or account management for an agency or wholesale broker.
  • Can work under minimal sales supervision.
  • Some overnight travel is required.

Commercial Lines Sales Account Executive Job Description

Our client is a successful commercial insurance agency built around serving the needs of physicians and other healthcare businesses.  A tremendous opportunity exists to provide a complete suite of property and casualty insurance coverage to these accounts.  This position, Commercial Insurance Sales Executive, will focus on capitalizing on revenue through the agency's existing client base not currently being written.  This revenue will be derived from writing commercial package policies with an emphasis on property and General Liability coverage.

Commercial Insurance Sales Executive Responsibilities
Conduct proactive new business prospecting including cold calling and face-to-face visits; this can include existing client relationships or new ones you've developing in the agency's footprint.
Assess and discuss the client's insurance coverage needs; handle marketing and negotiations with underwriters as well as proposal presentations.
Work closely with existing healthcare sales team to arrange joint sales calls, update on client issues and track closing and hit ratios.

Commercial Lines Account Manager - Charlotte, NC

Our client is a multi-state independent agency focused on building continuous relationships with clients.  They have several specialty divisions within the property and casualty department.  Regardless of industry focus the accounts the agency services have large liability exposures, malpractice concerns and matters pertaining to compliance and legislation that the broker can be a resource on.  This position, Commercial Insurance Account Manager, will take a lead role in overseeing these types of complex middle market accounts.  Your role will be to provide a high level of client service, education and advocacy on behalf of these insureds.

Commercial Insurance Account Manager Responsibilities:
Provide timely, accurate answers to client inquiries pertaining to their property and casualty insurance programs.
Take the lead on marketing and renewal initiatives, price and coverage negotiation, execution of written service timelines and troubleshooting issues pertaining to billing and claims.
Develop close relationships with insureds to increase account retention; meet clients in-person during quarterly and mid-year reviews.

Commercial Insurance Account Manager Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree is preferred.
