Commercial Lines Manager - Fayetteville or Fort Smith, AR

The Commercial Lines Manager is a critical role that's responsible for a number of operational and Human Resources related duties within this insurance agency.  You'll oversee three service units within three separate offices which requires excellent organizational and collaboration skills.   Your goal is to provide leadership to the client management teams, serve as a liaison with the sales and executive leaders and create synergy with the agency's other groups to ensure a high level of client retention, profitability and efficiency.

Commercial Lines Manager Responsibilities
Under the header of client service, you'll oversee the performance of your staff on account management processes and get involved in escalated client service issues. Work with the producers on expectations for certain accounts, reinforce department procedures, schedule client meetings, assign points of contact and follow up on requested items from clients and review marketing summaries and checklists.
Within the scope of marketing, you'll participate in building wholesale and carrier relationships, review vendor agreements, market specific new and renewal cases as needed, train client managers on online rating software and work with the producers on expiration lists to get the renewal process started.  Organize company contracts and licensing.
As a manager, you're responsible Human Resources related functions such as hiring, performance management, training and employee development of client service staff.  You'll establish policies and procedures for maximizing efficiencies within the agency's management system. You'll make sure close communication is established between the commercial lines, small business and marketing departments so there is consistency in the workflows.  Assist with the budgeting process including running reports, organizing departmental data, compliance, audits, quality control and peer reviews.
Commercial Lines Manager Requirements
At least 7-10 years of property and casualty career experience within an agency with a strong background in account management and client deliverables. Prior management and/or supervisory experience is required.
Must also have experience with addressing policy and procedures including oversight of efficiencies, allocating workloads and managing customer service staff.

Prior training experience along with organizational experience- aligning teams, building strong alliances and handling performance management issues.  Also comfortable with working through transitions into the agency such as integrating new acquisitions and office build outs.

AVP, Commercial Lines Service and Operations Team Leader - Los Angeles, CA

The Assistant Vice President position is a unique role that is being newly created to help support the growing infrastructure in the commercial lines division.  Up to this point the insurance agency's client service team has been overseen through a combination of department managers and executive officers.  This role is the perfect opportunity for an experienced property and casualty insurance professional who possesses a strong account executive background to spend more of their time incorporating management and operational responsibilities.  It’s the perfect blend of continuing to maintain touch with clients as a consultant while also working on staff development, infrastructure, workflows and best practices that need a coordinator behind the scenes to build a great team.

Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lines Service and Operations Team Leader Responsibilities:
Client Service- Involvement in the strategic design and onboarding of new accounts and renewing existing clients. Handle aspects of plan review, submission compilation, marketing, underwriting negotiations, preparing presentations and executing written service plans.  Oversee staff involved in policy administration and general client communication.
Team Leader- Work on initiatives with the management team regarding organizational development, team efficiencies, training and employee development.  Foster a strong team based culture and handle formal supervisory duties including decisions related to hiring, performance review, team alignment and assignment of accounts. 
Marketing and Operations- Develop relationships with key underwriting partners.  Be a liaison on carrier meetings, training sessions, seminars and events.  Be a resource on administrator needs for online rating, setting up new program partnerships and bringing the group together on new placement initiatives.  Serve as the centralized information source on general office duties like aged receivables, system quality checks, audits and departmental objectives.
Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lines Service and Operations Leader Requirements:
At least 5-7 years of senior property and casualty account executive experience.  Strong commercial coverage expertise is required.
Prior supervisory and/or management experience is required.  This can range from troubleshoot general administrative and operational duties within an agency's service team to having account managers report to you where handle performance issues, team building strategies and so on.

Leadership style must be as a consensus builder. Possess finesse and objectivity with soft people skills while still remaining organized and on task with meeting goals. Unafraid of taking on new challenges and projects.

Director of Commercial Lines Operations - Memphis, TN


Our client is an independent insurance broker deeply rooted in the Memphis market.  As the company grows so too does the need for experienced leadership in the commercial lines division.  This position, Director of Commercial Lines Operations, is a multi-faceted role that will balance the strategic responsibilities of leading the property and casualty service unit with the close management of efficiencies, training and technology utilization vital to client retention.



Director of Commercial Lines Operations Responsibilities
Leadership- management of commercial account managers, account executives and team supervisors; set performance guidelines, accountability measures, review and hiring procedures.
Sales and Service- participate in planning and execution of the agency's business development goals; assignment of teams, coordination with claims and loss control on value added resources; implementation of revenue building strategies like cross selling and account rounding.
Technology- assess the agency's strength and use of technology; lead all technology projects related to system upgrades and conversions; seek out solutions for technology implementation to better communicate with clients about insurance education and administration.
Operations- Team collaborator working with executive leadership on budget preparation, staffing needs, market development and agency branding.

Director of Commercial Lines Operations Requirements
Bachelor's degree.
At least 7-10 years of property and casualty insurance experience in the middle market and risk management space.
Candidates with retail agency or brokerage experience are highly desired.
Particular emphasis in recent roles must include employee development, organizational management, marketing, client deliverables and technology project management.

Our client is a large regional and national agency who is growing and currently looking for an Operations Manager in their Jackson area office.  They are seeking a dynamic individual who will bring high energy, good work ethic, and an entrepreneurial spirit to the position, along with strong technical skills and past agency experience focused on all lines of insurance risks.



Agency Operations Manager
Oversee multiple offices for all departments including commercial, personal lines, and employee benefits.
Create consistent policies and procedures to be followed and maintained consistently in all offices.
Work with leadership team to develop and implement all procedures and train staff accordingly.
Monitor performance of client service teams and individuals.
Oversee staff, approving vacation time, timecards, daily issues, and much more.

Our client is a top ten MGA/Wholesale Broker that is seeking a branch manager to run their Nashville office.  This is a great opportunity for someone with a very strong management background that has wholesale experience.   The job will have P & L responsibilities as well as production responsibilities.

MGA/Broker Branch Manager

Our client is a specialty Managing General Agency seeking an experienced Branch Manager. The existing staff is tenured, experienced and developing new business revenue at a high level.  This position will support the commercial team's production goals and bring cohesion to the sales and marketing process.  As Branch Manager, you will be actively involved in business development.

Branch Manager Responsibilities:
Oversee all underwriting functions; improve processes and procedures to maximize time and minimize errors.
Assist experienced underwriters with maintaining a high level of productivity, achieving performance goals and expanding their marketing capabilities.
Individually, participate in the underwriting process through the management of key accounts.
Actively engage in marketing duties including meeting with agents, identifying new markets to attack and strengthening the relationship with the company's carriers.

Branch Manager Qualifications:
7-10 years of applicable property and casualty experience; prior management experience within underwriting, marketing or operations is required.
Additionally, prior wholesale brokerage or Managing General Agency employment experience is critical.
Ability to adjust underwriting processes and procedures; train and mentor underwriting staff; participate in the design and execution of marketing strategies; determine staffing needs and budgets.  
Familiarity with the retail agency base in TN and KY is particularly helpful but not required.
