Our client is a provider of specialty property, and casualty coverage for specialty risks, programs, and niches. They are rated “A” (Excellent) by A.M. Best. They presently offer an opportunity to join their organization as a Senior Collectibles Underwriter in their Philadelphia area operation. The Underwriter will develop profitable business and maintain relationships with insureds and assigned agents. The individual will manage and develop underwriting aspects of relationships including visitation to present our client’s Collectibles products and underwriting appetite, production and profitability.
Senior Collectibles Underwriter Responsibilities:
- Select, price, quote, or decline new business.
- Review, price, and manage renewal business.
- Partner and maintain collaborative business relationships with insureds and appointed agents to develop, grow and underwrite a profitable book of business.
- Participate in national Collectors shows, and other marketing visits.
Senior Collectibles Underwriter Requirements:
- Bachelors’ degree preferred
- 2-5 years underwriting experience in personal lines.
- Prior experience in an underwriting supervisory capacity preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- National travel required
