In this Commercial Insurance Producer position, our client is a very strong regional agency that is using the onboarding of a new producer for its office in the western suburbs of Philadelphia as an opportunity to create new vertical niche practices. Whether you’re a generalist or a true subject matter expert in a particular industry the agency wants to help you develop a career, and a book of business, by zeroing in on a few profitable segments where you can be successful. Examples of those industries includes construction, manufacturing, distribution and healthcare. They are open to a new platform a producer wants to create and brand from scratch.
Commercial Insurance Producer Responsibilities:
- You will actively seek new business through a variety of successful methods while also being involved in ongoing account consultation and retention
- You can access the company’s full resources to identify new business but ultimately will be responsible for the complete sales cycle including lead generation, marketing oversight, closing negotiations, and implementing a customer service plan.
Commercial Insurance Producer Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Active state insurance license.
- At least 3-5 years of commercial insurance sales experience with an independent agency focusing on middle market business. Experience developing business in the regional area is key, whether that be exclusively within Philadelphia or other parts of the Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey markets.
- A sound sales philosophy built on consultation and referrals. This agency relies heavily on its producers to be the subject matter experts and consult with clients while an account management team handles servicing and policy administration.
- Articulate, driven, and well educated with the desire for resources and mentorship from an agency to build a sustainable insurance career.
