Group Employee Benefits Producer-Omaha, NE

For a lot of insurance agencies the employee benefits division exists just to  complement the commercial team.  As agencies look to diversify their portfolios and increase revenues per account they are turning to benefits as a bigger instrument to future growth.   Such is the case with firm which has an established benefits practice but wants to invest even more in the years to come. This is a fairly entrepreneurial opportunity, particularly in Omaha where you'd be the first one to establish a local presence for the agency in that market.


Group Employee Benefits Producer Responsibilities:
  • Establish a three year business development plan targeting accounts within your personal network along with capitalizing on cross selling opportunities with the agency's commercial lines team.
  • Identify connections between Omaha and Lincoln based businesses to parts of South Dakota, Iowa, Kansas and Colorado to expand the agency's sales footprint.
  • Place a greater emphasis on complex cases needing experience rated, self-funded options.
  • Participate in the group benefits division's growth through input on marketing, staff development and community involvement. 



Group Employee Benefits Producer Requirements:
  • At least three (3) years of group life and health sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Successful track record of business development; able to show a sales pattern derived through networking, cold calling and use of company and/or retail agency resources.
