to be part of this team of industry experts. In As a Loss Control Specialist
you will provide loss control and risk management services to local government
risk pool members. Coordinate services with agents, underwriting, and loss
control administrator. Assist pool members in identifying potential hazards,
developing and implementing programs, policies and/or procedures to reduce or
eliminate loss exposures.
Loss Control
Specialist Responsibilities
·
Conduct
timely loss control surveys of pool members, identify exposures, assist
members in controlling exposures and mitigating or eliminating hazards, issue
recommendations and resource materials.
·
Provide
underwriting with clear and concise reports of members’ operations, exposures
and/or hazards
·
Conduct
property valuations utilizing industry standard software.
·
Assist
underwriting in reviewing large losses, concentrating on loss control measures
that have been and/or can be taken to prevent reoccurrence.
Loss Control
Specialist Requirements
·
2+
years of loss control/risk management or related experience.
·
Experience
with public entity risk management preferred.
·
Bachelor’s
degree.
·
Loss
control/risk management including a working knowledge of relevant statutes,
standards, guidelines, and safety requirements.
·
Knowledge
of references and resources for loss control recommendations.
