Group Employee Benefits Producer Responsibilities

In
this agency's environment you, as a newer producer, will be paired with a very successful
senior producer. As a team you'll work together to identify prospecting
opportunities within the senior producer's current book. You'll spend a
large portion of your time independently prospecting but can rely on the senior
staff's expertise to help with the technical details of marketing and plan
design or with closing strategies.

You'll
focus in the 100+ or self-funded client range. Quite a bit of your
business development will be done in Chicago but
the agency has a reach that extends nationally with partners in offices
throughout the Midwest .
·
Bachelor's
degree plus at least 3-5 years of group medical sales experience; the agency
will consider business development experience from an insurance company but
prefers similar independent agency sales experience.
·
It’s
important you have an approach, a system if you will, to business
development; you understand your production numbers and also what you need to
be more successful in a new firm than what you're currently receiving.
You are comfortable working in a mentor/mentee role and are interested in
a career path that offers successful producers opportunities to be in a
strategic role.
