Employee Benefits Sales Executive-Atlanta, GA

Our client is an employee benefits provider for small business with 2-25 employees seeking affordable coverage solutions.  In the wake of health care reform many small businesses will be unsure where to access quality group medical plans.  A solution is found is our client’s association based platform where small businesses domiciled in the state of Georgia can receive competitive health insurance quotes for their business and have access to a team of sales and service consultants to answer coverage, claims and billing questions throughout the year.  This position, Employee Benefits Sales Executive, is responsible for helping bring new clients into the trust.  This is a terrific opportunity for someone with a business sales background to transition into insurance at a time when many businesses are in need of new medical plan outlets.

Employee Benefits Sales Executive Responsibilities:
  • Identify prospective clients utilizing a database filled with small companies located in Georgia that have under 50 employees.  You’ll call on those companies to describe the company and its coverage offerings for group health insurance coverage. This business development will be done largely through phone based sales into companies tied to associations but will require in-person consultation with clients during the presentation and closing phases.
  • Once a lead is identified you’ll take care of securing quotes, creating a proposal and helping clients along in the purchasing and enrollment processes.

Employee Benefits Sales Executive Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • About 2-3 years of sales experience in insurance, business or financial services.  You must be accustomed to a defined sales structure with a lot of cold calling, small business or individual, one-on-one sales and a highly transactional method of identifying and closing business.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience but includes a base salary and opportunities for bonuses and/or commissions based on new business sales.
