Our client is a mid-sized regional insurance agency that has been in business for more than fifty years, but traditionally has been focused on Property & Casualty risks. They are looking to expand their employee benefits division and are seeking a qualified producer to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess great technical skills and know the details of healthcare reform.
Employee Benefits Producer Responsibilities:
- Ability to network and effectively represent the agency with existing clients as well as other social and industry networking events.
- Effectively partner with the Property and Casualty producers to cross-sell group employee benefits coverage to existing clients.
- Proactively identify and develop growth opportunities in the local and regional market.
- Prospect new leads and grow sales organically, along with cultivating relationships with existing clients at the highest strategic level.
- Maximize account retention/renewals on an ongoing basis.
- Be highly motivated to manage a sales pipeline, create sales forecasting, and build a successful and profitable portfolio of clients.
- Develop solutions in response to the changing landscape of the group health industry as dictated by ACA.
Employee Benefits Producer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of successful sales experience in employee benefits, ideally on the retail agency side.
- Experience calling on accounts in the 50+ employee space a plus.
- Consultative sales approach to truly provide solutions to the client preferred.
