Commercial Lines Account Manager

Our client is a Top 50 independent agency with annual revenues in excess of $20 million.  They are a seven generation company with offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic to position themselves next to their clients.  They have a dynamic, professional sales and service staff that strives to offer service above their competitors.  Their service department is looking for a knowledgeable commercial technician with experience handling middle market and risk management accounts during the marketing and renewal process.


Account Manager Qualifications
5-10 years of customer service experience in the insurance industry
Must have prior background with a retail agency but career can also include marketing and underwriting exposure
Multi-line commercial coverage proficiency like general liability, commercial auto, large property, and workers compensation
Experience working in a team environment managing endorsement requests, new business marketing, certificate processes, and billing inquiries
Must have a P&C insurance license and currently hold, or be working towards, a professional designation

Commercial Lines Binding Underwriter - Tennessee


I'm working on a terrific work from home opportunity for a strong commercial lines underwriter.  My client is a well respected MGA that works on middle market risks and needs someone that can build on existing Tennessee relationships to grow a book of business.  This is a work from home opportunity with the ability to work anywhere in the state.  

Commercial Lines Binding Underwriter
Our client is a managing general agency with comprehensive commercial lines underwriting programs.  They target small to mid-sized commercial accounts from general package policies to complex property and general liability accounts.  They seek an underwriter experienced managing and developing a commercial book of business to oversee production throughout the state of Tennessee.  This position requires someone with strong marketing and organizational skills.

Commercial Line Underwriter Responsibilities:
You'll be responsible for managing a book of business including rating and loss analysis on new business and renewals.
Your marketing efforts will drive new business production and retention with retail agents and prominent carriers in the industry.
You'll also assist team members and serve as an underwriting resource.

Commercial Lines Underwriter Qualifications:
At least three (3) years of commercial underwriting or program management experience.
Must have a retail agency following in Tennessee; surrounding states is helpful.
Experience working with general liability, property, and work comp coverage in small to mid-sized accounts.
Strong marketing skills with the ability to develop relationships with markets, retail agents, and internal colleagues.
Professional certification or industry designation preferred.

Commercial Lines Underwriter/Account Manager - Jackson, MS

Our client is a commercial insurance Managing General Agency.  The firm is expanding and has an opening for a commercial lines underwriter.  


Account Manager, Underwriter Responsibilities:
Responsible for the analysis, rating and underwriting of commercial insurance package policies.
Work with agents to secure information necessary to provide accurate and timely new business quotes.
Manage the policy renewal process: gathering renewal information, reviewing claims history, consider changes in policy exposure and secure pricing.
On larger, complex cases work with the insurance companies to secure authority and approval.
Assist with policy administration: endorsements, billing, claims and cancellations.


Account Manager, Underwriter Qualifications:
2-3 years of property and casualty experience.
Prior experience as a commercial underwriting assistant or agency account manager will be strongly considered.
Ability to review policies, endorsements, contracts, loss runs and safety reports.
Familiarity with online rating systems.
Broad coverage knowledge including property, General Liability and commercial auto.

Our client is a regional insurance agency that is looking for a Client Services Director in their group benefits division.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employee benefits, a solid work ethic, and a can-do attitude to provide world class service to clients and prospects.  You must have previous management experience and in-depth technical knowledge of group insurance products.  In this role you will plan, direct, and coordinate the account management, benefit analyst, and administrative teams in the pursuit of client sales, service, retention and growth.



Client Services Director, Employee Benefits Responsibilities
Manage individual team member's books of business and make regular adjustments to ensure capacity and delivery of exceptional service and material.
Monitor and own corporate and departmental performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure achievement of annual and long term goals.
Monitor agent performance, adherence to protocols, proper interface, and delivery within teams.
Manage relationships with carriers and ensure employees and clients are informed and up-to-speed on various product offerings, changes, and service issues.
Ensure team has appropriate knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory compliance.
Attend prospect and client meetings to ensure proper delivery and consistency among teams.

Client Services Director, Employee Benefits Requirements
7-10 years of applicable industry experience, preferably in a retail agency setting.
Previous management experience required.
State Life/Health license required.
Professional designations (CEBS, RHU, GBA, etc.) a plus.

Our client is an independent agency with a dynamic, professional sales and service staff that strives to offer service above their competitors.  Their service department seeks a knowledgeable Commercial Account Manager with experience handling large property and casualty accounts.  This role will oversee all of the service function from renewal preparation to marketing, RFPs and ongoing account maintenance.

Commercial Account Manager Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary client service point of contact to the insured.
Answer questions about coverage and pricing, create and execute the renewal cycle, coordinate all renewal marketing and create RFPs.

Commercial Account Manager Qualifications:

Our client is a multi-state independent agency focused on building continuous relationships with clients.  They have several specialty divisions within the property and casualty department.  Regardless of industry focus the accounts the agency services have large liability exposures, malpractice concerns and matters pertaining to compliance and legislation that the broker can be a resource on.  This position, Commercial Insurance Account Manager, will take a lead role in overseeing these types of complex middle market accounts.  Your role will be to provide a high level of client service, education and advocacy on behalf of these insureds.

Commercial Insurance Account Manager Responsibilities:
Provide timely, accurate answers to client inquiries pertaining to their property and casualty insurance programs.
Take the lead on marketing and renewal initiatives, price and coverage negotiation, execution of written service timelines and troubleshooting issues pertaining to billing and claims.
Develop close relationships with insureds to increase account retention; meet clients in-person during quarterly and mid-year reviews.

Commercial Insurance Account Manager Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree is preferred.
At least three (three) years of property and casualty client service experience.
Understanding of complex, larger account policies including professional liability, loss sensitive plans and large deductible programs.
Experience with Applied/TAM and paperless systems as well as Microsoft Excel is important.
