Commercial Lines Account Manager - Hattiesburg, MS

One of my  top clients in Mississippi is looking for a really sharp account manager for a commercial book in Hattiesburg.  This is a great company and they need someone that is comfortable in this type of environment and can juggle and prioritize multiple items.  This company offers terrific growth potential and is a great place to work!  Additionally, my client is open to someone that would relocate from a larger area like Jackson or the Gulf Coast.



Commercial Lines Account Manager

Our client is an independent agency with the knowledge and resources to insure a multitude of commercial business entities.  They are a regional insurance agency with the capacity to provide insurance and risk management programs for commercial clients that are local, national and international in their scope of operations.  As part of their growth plan they currently seek an experienced commercial account manager for the large accounts unit.  As Commercial Account Manager you're responsible for assuming leadership on new and existing commercial accounts.  You'll also partner closely with new producers who need assistance with everything from policy administration to new business marketing.

Commercial Account Manager Responsibilities:
Provide timely and accurate feedback to client inquiries on existing policies with regards to policy amendments, billing, claims and upcoming renewals.
Participate in the renewal cycle from start to finish; gather update account information, compile submissions and secure renewals quotes.
Assist other team members with overflow of processing, certificates or answering incoming calls.

Commercial Account Manager Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in insurance and risk management or a minimum of two (2) years property and casualty insurance experience.
Prior underwriting, marketing or agency client service experience will be considered.
Broad property and casualty coverage knowledge including property, casualty, work comp and auto.
Larger, middle market and risk management account experience.
Hold an active MS P&C license or obtain one shortly upon hire.

Agency Systems Trainer - Birmingham, Jackson, Nashville, Memphis, Little Rock or Baton Rouge


I'm working on a really unique position in the Deep south for a strong trainer and project manager.  Our client is a strong regional agency that is beginning to transition to a new agency management system.  Essentially they are looking for someone to be the quarterback of this process to act as a project manager, troubleshoot problems with the assistance of the vendor, test the product and oversee training.  They are comfortable having someone in the following areas:  Birmingham, Jackson, Nashville, Memphis, Little Rock or Baton Rouge.  Please let me know if you have any questions or if you have any interest.  Job description is below:


Our client is a progressive regional broker with multiple offices located throughout the South.  As the agency prepares for continued growth its clear the operations team has a critical void in the management of workflow procedures, training and system administration.  This position, Agency Systems Trainer, is a newly developed role that is responsible for maintaining consistency within the agency's service teams.

Agency Systems Trainer Responsibilities:
Early in this role the primary task will be the integration of a new agency management system.
Secondarily, this role will oversee all related training, information transfer and process improvement of this and other new technology.
You will organize manuals, policies and procedures for the account management teams.
You'll provide instruction on the agency's paperless tools and monitor its correct usage.
You'll travel throughout the agency's various offices conducting training presentations, forming focus/user groups and auditing Best Practices.

Agency Systems Trainer Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
Extensive familiarity with a commercial agency's organization structure- how an agency forms policies and account management procedures, implements system rollovers, handles special administrative projects, conducts training and maintains Best Practices.
Prior work in account management, client service management or best practices/training for an agency is high preferred.
Experience working with Sagitta is required.
Travel flexibility- this will involve some overnight travel.

One of my best clients is looking for a top flight personal lines producer to grow their practice.  My client is one  of the top agencies in Jackson and is looking for a vibrant, outgoing sales personality to build a book from scratch.  While they are an independent agency, they are open to someone coming from the carrier side, a smaller agency or even out of industry.



Personal Lines Producer
Our client is an independent insurance agency recognized for its full service property and casualty program offerings. Providing personal lines insurance solutions is an important way the agency offers additional resources for business owners and its employees.  As Personal Lines Producer, you'll be responsible for helping the agency promote personal lines through cross selling opportunities, new social media advertising and targeting affluent buyers.

Personal Lines Producer Responsibilities:
Create a sales plan to identify new business personal lines accounts.
Partner with the commercial and benefits producers to capitalize on internal referrals and cross selling opportunities.
Develop third party referral streams through centers of influence in the financial services and professional community.

Personal Lines Producer Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in insurance and risk management or related degree.
At least 1-3 years of personal lines sales experience; background writing larger personal lines accounts is highly desired.
Responsible for achieving new business goals through outside sales prospecting.
Active MS P&C license.

This is a great opportunity for someone that is an account manager that is looking to move into underwriting or for an assistant underwriter that is looking to move up.  My client is seeking someone that has strong commercial lines skills to assist with a new program in their practice. 




Commercial Lines Underwriter/Account Manager - Jackson, MS

Our client is a commercial insurance Managing General Agency.  The firm is expanding and has an opening for a commercial lines underwriter.  


Account Manager, Underwriter Responsibilities:
Responsible for the analysis, rating and underwriting of commercial insurance package policies.
Work with agents to secure information necessary to provide accurate and timely new business quotes.
Manage the policy renewal process: gathering renewal information, reviewing claims history, consider changes in policy exposure and secure pricing.
On larger, complex cases work with the insurance companies to secure authority and approval.
Assist with policy administration: endorsements, billing, claims and cancellations.


Account Manager, Underwriter Qualifications:
2-3 years of property and casualty experience.
Prior experience as a commercial underwriting assistant or agency account manager will be strongly considered.
Ability to review policies, endorsements, contracts, loss runs and safety reports.
Familiarity with online rating systems.
Broad coverage knowledge including property, General Liability and commercial auto.
