My client is a well respected MGA that works on middle market risks and needs someone that can build on existing Tennessee relationships to grow a book of business. This is a work from home opportunity with the ability to work anywhere in the state.
Commercial Lines Binding Underwriter
Our client is a managing general agency with comprehensive commercial lines underwriting programs. They target small to mid-sized commercial accounts from general package policies to complex property and general liability accounts. They seek an underwriter experienced managing and developing a commercial book of business to oversee production throughout the state of Tennessee. This position requires someone with strong marketing and organizational skills.
Commercial Line Underwriter Responsibilities:
You'll be responsible for managing a book of business including rating and loss analysis on new business and renewals.
Your marketing efforts will drive new business production and retention with retail agents and prominent carriers in the industry.
You'll also assist team members and serve as an underwriting resource.
Commercial Lines Underwriter Qualifications:
At least three (3) years of commercial underwriting or program management experience.
Must have a retail agency following in Tennessee; surrounding states is helpful.
Experience working with general liability, property, and work comp coverage in small to mid-sized accounts.
Strong marketing skills with the ability to develop relationships with markets, retail agents, and internal colleagues.
Professional certification or industry designation preferred.
