Employee Benefits Consultant, Account Executive - Minneapolis, MN


Our client is a progressive insurance brokerage deeply rooted in its group benefits consulting platform. The firm has developed a very successful sales process in Minneapolis that attracts large corporate benefits accounts that starts with a few hundred employees to several thousand.  This position, Benefits Consultant, Account Executive, will be a major technical component of the agency’s client service team. It works directly alongside the producers as the quarterback for several points of the sales process that involve marketing and implementation.   A person assuming this role must be an experienced handler of sophisticated group medical plans working directly with the insured.

Benefits Consultant, Account Executive Responsibilities
  • Assigned a book of sophisticated, self-funded clients, you’ll handle a lot of the strategic plan design, marketing, negotiations and stewardship involved with client management.
  • Account analysis: You’ll be intimately familiar with cost trends, projections and drivers; opportunities to match services and plans to a client’s portfolio; reports on market changes and renewal strategies.
  • Accountable for the growth of the assigned book of business: acquisition of new business on existing accounts; customer satisfaction that leads to a high retention rate; develop and execute the bid/RFP/renewal plan.

Benefits Consultant, Account Executive Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred however equivalent work experience that shows progressive movement in duties and responsibilities will be considered.
  • At least five (5) years of group employee benefits insurance industry experience.  Always centered around the client service and account management process, this experience can come from working exclusively at a major group medical insurance carrier in underwriting or middle market account support.  The agency is also open to individuals with prior sales experience.  A producer who has always been very consultative and involved in the details of marketing, negotiations and plan design would do well taking on this lead role where personal new business origination isn’t required.
  • State life and health license is required.
  • Strong financial and analytical background; in one moment be able to quantify and interpret group medical and ancillary claims data and in the next be the lead point of contact for insureds resolving policy issues and handling renewal cases.

Senior Vice President, Employee Benefits Practice Leader - Midwest



This is a senior level executive position in the Midwest with a reputable insurance brokerage. The firm seeks an experienced professional with practice leader qualifications to oversee the non-sales operations of its employee benefits division. This is a challenging role that requires an innovative, forward thinking business professional who first and foremost has deep health and welfare insurance knowledge. You're viewed by the client service as the expert on self-funded group medical plans, marketing and client management. A highly desired candidate draws on their previous experience as a lead consultant or Account Executive in their past experience. 

Additional skills necessary for this role is involvement in project management, operations and business development (though not as a producer).

Senior Commercial Lines Account Executive - Chicago, IL


With a strong reputation for client service and program innovation our client has a unique opportunity in its commercial insurance practice. The agency's sales platform is non-traditional, and this position concentrates on complex, upper tier risk management accounts. As the Senior Commercial Lines Account Executive you're dedicated to strategic plan design, management of C-suite client relationships and team leadership. Most importantly you will handle a significant portion of the marketing placement. You're responsible for setting the standard for client service excellence in the agency's property and casualty unit.

Senior Commercial Lines Account Executive Responsibilities
  • Lead the ongoing client risk management process and provides coverage options, funding alternatives and value-added service options to meet specific client needs.
  • Develop and promote cross-selling and additional revenue opportunities for clients and prospects.
  • Concentrate on building client-centric relationships and be involved in high level marketing, proposal presentations and execution of the risk management plan.

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least ten years of risk management consulting and client management on large, complex risk management accounts within a consulting firm or large insurance brokerage.
  • Background must be heavily weighted in marketing and placement; program design, company negotiations and balancing new and renewal solutions has been a major component of running your book of business.
  • Exhibit leadership skills akin to mentoring and training staff, running point on new accounts, handling escalated account issues and resolving disputes with insurers.
  • State insurance license.

Associate Recruiter - Des Moines, IA


Capstone Search Group is a national recruiting firm that focuses exclusively in the insurance industry.  Capstone is different from other staffing firms due to the specific niche industry it serves but also because its production model is built on team based sales.  This position, Associate Recruiter, is newly created because the company is experiencing terrific growth and the need from our clients for talented employee prospects is growing.  In this role you’ll be heavily focused on a core portion of the recruiting process which is candidate research and solicitation.
Associate Recruiter Responsibilities
  • You will be charged with developing and executing a recruiting plan based in new candidate solicitation; these will mostly be experienced insurance professionals in sales, management and client service positions.

Medical Malpractice Sales Producer - Statewide Texas


Our client is a medical malpractice insurer in the process of expanding its sales force in Georgia and Florida. With established success in markets like Tampa, Jacksonville and Atlanta, these positions will translate the company’s sales platform into new areas that have similar growth opportunities.  In these two markets, Atlanta and Tallahassee, you’ll be responsible for serving as an insurance agent who works directly with physicians on securing competitive medical malpractice insurance and effectively manage risk exposures.
Medical Malpractice Insurance Producer Responsibilities
  • Execute a sales and marketing strategy in your designated territory; you are responsible for making cold calls to prospective clients (which are physicians) and once the account becomes a client you will also provide ongoing consultation and service as their agent and primary point of contact.
  • Responsible for building sales presentations, preparing proposals and facilitating the onboarding process with the internal service team of account managers.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade associations; develop expertise in medical malpractice regulations and trends; work closely with third party vendors particularly in securing endorsements and identifying cross selling opportunities.
Medical Malpractice Insurance Producer Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred; commensurate experience will be considered.
  • Approximately 2-5 years of property and casualty insurance experience in one of the following disciplines:
    1.  Either as an independent commercial lines producer seeking a specialization like medical malpractice, or
    2.  As a current medical malpractice specialist working in production or account management for an agency or wholesale broker.
  • Can work under minimal sales supervision.
  • Some overnight travel is required.

Commercial Lines Account Manager - Gulfport, MS


Our client is a reputable independent agency with a strong commercial insurance platform.  Large account retention is extremely important to the vitality of the organization.  This position, Commercial Insurance Account Manager, will assume responsibility for an established book of middle market accounts with a mixture of regional accounts with large property, general liability and coastal exposures.  In this role you will serve as a technical resource alongside experienced producers.  Your involvement in furthering the agency’s relationship with the insured is critical.
Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities
  • You’ll assist the sales executive in marketing and servicing a large book of business.
  • Responsibilities include creating submissions, analyzing loss information and generating premium rates and audits.
  • You’ll be the primary client service contact and assist with endorsement requests, insurance proposals, and other policy related issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in all aspects of the renewal process- analyzing current coverage, changes in exposure, claims history, billing, marketing strategy, RFPs and designing proposal presentations.
Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements
  • At least three (3) years of experience in property and casualty insurance; work in a similar client service role or in a commercial underwriting position will be considered.
  • You must have experience working with property based accounts as well as other major coverage lines like general liability, commercial auto, work comp and excess/umbrella; familiarity with Acord apps, renewal markets and pricing negotiations.
  • Active state insurance license.
  • Strong oral and written communication; working knowledge of Microsoft and agency management systems like TAM and Applied; experience with paperless office systems is helpful.

Commercial Insurance Producer - Pensacola, FL


Our client is an independent, multi-state agency driven by a full service platform that includes commercial risk management and large corporate benefits.  The agency’s Pensacola office is in a growth mode, and this position, Commercial Insurance Producer, has been created as a response.  The goal of this position is to put an experienced sales executive in a position to develop a profitable book of business with middle market and risk management insureds targeted throughout the Gulf South region.
Commercial Insurance Producer Responsibilities
  • Create and execute a sales plan tailored to a geographic region currently being underserved or based around a network of business clients you have in a particular niche discipline.
  • Foster a referral system based on team selling, working closely with the benefits unit and developing centers of influence in the business community.
Commercial Insurance Producer Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 2-3 years of commercial insurance sales experience with success managing C-suite relationships, prospecting and closing new business and participating in the ongoing client service process.
