Loss Control Consultant-Statewide, IA

Our client provides superior service to the commercial construction industry. Their focus is on risk management principles through partnering with their policyholders. They are member owned and maintain an A.M. Best Rating of A- (Excellent), which provides both strength and stability to their member owners. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Loss Control Consultant serving the commercial construction and manufacturing industry. This is a newly created position due to company growth. For this role you could be located anywhere in Iowa, with central or western Iowa being the most ideal. Or you could be located in the Omaha, NE area as well. Consultant will be working out of their home. Position includes bonus, company car and comprehensive benefit package.

Loss Control Consultant Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Risk Control Surveys on construction jobsites or manufacturing facilities in order to identify and correct existing and potential safety hazards
  • Conduct safety training
  • Develop safety programs
  • Conduct accident investigations
  • Write articles for company publications
  • Evaluate potential clientele facilities and jobsites to determine if they meet risk management and safety requirements

Loss Control Consultant Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Hygiene, or Engineering
  • 3 or more years of professional safety experience or insurance industry experience in loss control
  • Strong knowledge of the Construction industry. Manufacturing Industry knowledge a plus.
  • Knowledge of the OSHA/MSHA/DOT Standards
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct safety presentations to large and small audiences
  • Basic computer skills operating programs such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Clean driving record

Loss Control Consultant-Eastern, IA

Their strength is working with employers who seek insurance solutions to both the short- and long-term costs of workers’ compensation. Their unique model of underwriting, loss prevention, and claims management allows employers to maximize control over their costs. They currently offer an opportunity to join their growing organization working from your home in Eastern Iowa.

Loss Control Consultant Responsibilities:
  • Conduct onsite calls for the purpose of providing service to existing complex accounts while conducting evaluations of exposures, hazards controls and analyzing experience for prospective work comp accounts in excess of $100,000.
  • Develops loss related information, service plans, recommendations and reports to reduce losses while developing/strengthen management/administrative controls or physical conditions.
  • Investigate risk exposures/accidents, analyze risk experience and develop account loss reduction procedures. Strong focus on working with identified loss drivers and working towards controlling and containing associated costs.

Loss Control Consultant Requirements:
  • Ten Five (5) or more years’ experience in loss control or safety.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), ASP, CPCU, CLCS, OHST, ARM or related designation desirable.
  • Degree in Occupational Safety or related ideal
  • Experience in 2 or more areas of loss control industry specialties to include but not be limited to ergonomics, industrial hygiene, construction, medical, machine guarding and/or transportation
  • Knowledge of claim management principles and agency relations

They seek motivated and successful candidates currently in a sales role for a retail agency or large national consulting house. They offer competitive splits, world class tools and resources, and the opportunity to manage the P&L on your block of business for maximum profitability.

Sales Executive, Commercial Lines or Employee Benefits Responsibilities:
  • Ability to create an aggressive business marketing plan to drive revenue in a 3-5 year period.
  • Ability to network at the C-level to determine the customer’s business needs and subsequent insurance requirements.
  • Cross-selling additional lines of coverage to round out accounts.
  • Up-sell and renew existing clients with additional products and services.

Sales Executive, Commercial Lines or Employee Benefits Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience working in an independent agency or large national consulting firm.
  • Ability to transfer existing book of business a plus — willing to purchase the book when possible.
  • Must possess applicable state insurance license, with additional professional designations a plus.

Benefits Analyst-Dallas, TX

Our client is a well-respected national insurance agency that has multiple offices across the country. They currently have a need for an Employee Benefits Analyst in their office in the Dallas area.  In this role you will assist the internal account management team in servicing the consulting responsibilities for all employee benefits clients.

Benefits Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, coordinate, and execute the implementation of new and existing clients, specifically client financial reporting.
  • Prepare and submit client utilization and financial reporting to internal staff and to the client.
  • Prepare and manage process for RFPs for client benefit coverages.
  • Maintain and update client online benefit coverage profile.
  • Work with internal staff on marketing and renewal presentations.
  • Work with clients and markets to answer questions and resolve issues.
  • Confer with internal staff to identify, plan, and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiency and effectiveness of benefit programs.
  • Review contracts, summary plan descriptions, and agreements for accuracy using checklists.
  • Work and assist team in compliance review, utilizing checklists provided.
  • Assist in the development of employee communications and onsite open enrollments.

Benefits Analyst Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 2-3 years minimum in account management or analyst role in the insurance industry, preferably for an independent agency.
  • TX Life & Health license required.
  • Strong mathematical skills along with knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Human Resources Consultant, Cincinnati, OH


Our client has an established Human Resources Consulting practice that is growing because so many businesses utilize their services for project management, compliance and strategic employee development. This role, Human Resources Consultant, is an addition to the current team and will serve a diverse group of the firm’s client base including some without sophisticated internal departments that turn to the firm to serve in this capacity.
Human Resources Consultant Responsibilities
  • Work closely with insureds to provide answers to Human Resources inquiries related to providing sample materials, information on employment liability issues and advising on best practices.
  • Handle consulting assignments or special projects for clients. This can involve compliance audits, creation of employee handbooks, compensation analysis and development, employment practices investigations and employee relations initiatives.
  • Work closely with the agency’s producers and client managers to communicate updates on clients and facilitate information sharing on potential revenue opportunities.
  • Help the agency’s internal Human Resources team with team building and morale initiatives, training workshops and recruiting projects.
Human Resources Consultant Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree plus PHR or SPHR designation is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years in Human Resources experience; prior sales and consulting experience is helpful. Most importantly is senior level experience involving issues of program development, project management and consulting.
  • Broad knowledge of Human Resources functions and processes including EEOC, compliance, compensation, benefits and employee relations.
