Benefits Analyst-Dallas, TX

Our client is a well-respected national insurance agency that has multiple offices across the country. They currently have a need for an Employee Benefits Analyst in their office in the Dallas area.  In this role you will assist the internal account management team in servicing the consulting responsibilities for all employee benefits clients.

Benefits Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, coordinate, and execute the implementation of new and existing clients, specifically client financial reporting.
  • Prepare and submit client utilization and financial reporting to internal staff and to the client.
  • Prepare and manage process for RFPs for client benefit coverages.
  • Maintain and update client online benefit coverage profile.
  • Work with internal staff on marketing and renewal presentations.
  • Work with clients and markets to answer questions and resolve issues.
  • Confer with internal staff to identify, plan, and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiency and effectiveness of benefit programs.
  • Review contracts, summary plan descriptions, and agreements for accuracy using checklists.
  • Work and assist team in compliance review, utilizing checklists provided.
  • Assist in the development of employee communications and onsite open enrollments.

Benefits Analyst Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 2-3 years minimum in account management or analyst role in the insurance industry, preferably for an independent agency.
  • TX Life & Health license required.
  • Strong mathematical skills along with knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Benefit Analyst-Detroit, MI

Our client is a regional insurance agency that is poised for growth and considering the addition of a Benefits Analyst in their group benefits division for their upcoming client service needs.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employee benefits, a solid work ethic, and a can-do attitude to provide world class service to clients and prospects.

Benefit Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Perform financial and market analysis relating to plan design and renewals, as well as year-round data reporting of key plan performance parameters for prospective and current clients.
  • Perform competitive market analyses, including the negotiation of proposed plan designs and rates with insurance carriers.
  • Prepare comprehensive, objective client proposals that offer both executive summaries and detailed analyses of recommended options for consideration by the client.
  • Create financial analyses using complex Excel functions.
  • Present and discuss financial analyses in front of clients.

Benefit Analyst Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience working with group employee benefits, preferably in a retail agency setting.
  • Familiarity with rating and pricing methodologies for all lines of coverage, especially with BCBS of MI.
  • Strong math and analytical skills with particular attention to detail.

Benefits Analyst-Dallas, TX

Our client is a large regional agency with a growing presence in the Dallas market.  They are seeking a Benefits Analyst to join their team and support a group employee benefits business unit.  The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and show the ability to learn quickly.

Benefits Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance in strategic planning and consulting advice to clients to include assistance with the production of Requests For Proposal (RFPs), coordinating vendor responses, analysis and comparison of RFP responses, and preparation of a client report with recommendations.
  • Assist in developing an implementation plan with clients to include assistance with coordinating and attending enrollment meetings.
  • Assist in the review of all agreements and/or documents related to client’s business.
  • Conduct industry specific surveys as may be requested by client.
  • Provide limited assistance to clients on compliance issues.
  • Meet with clients alone or in conjunction with the team to review large claims, abnormal utilization results, monthly claims experience, set strategies and goals, and conduct on-site claims visits.

 Benefits Analyst Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree in a business related field or equivalent experience in the insurance industry.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the insurance industry, with agency experience a huge plus.
  • State Life & Health license required.

Benefits Analyst-Denver, CO

Our client is a well-respected regional insurance agency in the Denver area that is seeking a Benefits Analyst for their team.  The ideal candidate will have broad experience in employee benefits with a strong focus on underwriting and analysis.  You must have strong math skills, along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Benefits Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Assist account management team in servicing the needs of employee benefit clients.
  • Provide client utilization and financial reporting to the team and to clients.
  • Assist clients with daily service functions and frequent ad hoc requests.
  • Create, review, and edit summary plan descriptions and other client materials.
  • Administer marketing and renewal functions such as Requests For Proposal (RFP).
  • Identify, plan, and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiency and effectiveness of benefit programs.
  • Participate in market meetings, client functions, industry seminars, and training programs as directed.
  • Maintain client records and update client communications.

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent working experience.

Plan Analyst, Employee Benefits-Detroit, MI

Our client is a growing boutique consulting firm that focuses on employee benefits and is looking to facilitate their growth by strategically hiring a Plan Analyst.  They are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate who is looking for a challenge in an entrepreneurial setting.  The ideal candidate will be willing and able to serve as the primary contact managing financial analysis, data analytics, carrier/vendor underwriting management and preparation of client reports.

Plan Analyst, Employee Benefits Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the liaison for financial data between assigned clients and carrier/vendors.
  • Track and audit the flow of census, plan design and financial data among the internal team, clients, prospects, and vendors.
  • Document all client and carrier/vendor discussions including financial and underwriting concessions.
  • Manage processes leading to the creation of routine work product including monthly claims experience reporting, preparation for standard client strategy meetings, and annual plan management reporting.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve timely execution of the renewal calendar.
  • Conduct marketing of benefit plans including preparation of Requests for Proposal (RFPs), assimilation of carrier responses, follow-up, analysis, and comparison reporting, while seeking optimum pricing levels in vendor negotiations.
  • Work with actuarial consulting partner and third party administrators to analyze claims history, pricing, and market trends.
  • Prepare and submit on behalf of designated clients Forms 5500, Medicare Part D, ERRP filings, and the annual Milliman survey.

Plan Analyst, Employee Benefits Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required.
  • 1-3 years minimum experience working with larger health and welfare accounts.
  • State Life and Health license required with industry desigations a plus.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook.
