Our client is a large, national insurance brokerage looking to expand in their Louisiana office locations in Baton Rouge and/or Lafayette. They seek motivated and successful candidates currently in a sales role for a retail agency or direct writer.

Group Benefits Producer Responsibilities:
  • Ability to create an aggressive business marketing plan to drive revenue in a 3-5 year period.
  • Ability to network at the C-level to determine the customer’s business needs and subsequent insurance requirements.
  • Cross-selling additional lines of coverage to round out accounts.
  • Up-sell and renew existing clients with additional products and services.

Group Benefits Producer Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience working in an independent agency or applicable direct marketing.
  • Ability to transfer existing book of business a plus — willing to purchase the book when possible.
  • Must possess applicable state insurance license, with additional professional designations a plus.

Commercial Insurance Producer-Northwest Indiana, IN

This is an insurance sales position with an independent, full service agency with a desire to grow through the addition of a new producer who offers enough industry sales experience and training to know this is the career for them.  The senior producers are very willing to provide guidance and mentorship as you build a book of business with this firm.  You’ll concentrate on middle market accounts, typical industrial or service related, in the greater Chicago area as well as in-state and surrounding parts of the Midwest.

Commercial Insurance Producer Requirements:
  • To be considered for this role you must offer at least three (3) years of property and casualty sales experience with an insurance agency.  You have had success with a sales process where you’re required to develop a prospect plan, participate in the marketing and RFP process and also remain closely linked to your clients throughout the year regarding service and program consultation.
  • State insurance license.

Compensation includes a guaranteed salary plus variable commission based on new business sales.  The agency also provides expense reimbursement.

Senior Commercial Insurance Producer Responsibilities:
  • Offer new revenue streams through Chicago business contacts, marketing relationships and existing client contacts.
  • Partner closely with the group benefits producers and junior P&C producers to identify cross selling, up selling or team based sales opportunities on middle market accounts generating at least $10k in agency commission.

Senior Commercial Insurance Producer Requirements:
  • Approximately five (5) years of independent agency property and casualty experience.
  • Completion of sales training with excellent prospecting and closing skills.
  • Able to remain involved with the insured’s ongoing risk management needs and direct the account management staff on administrative and marketing tasks.
  • Active IL P&C license.
Compensation is commensurate with experience but provides a base salary with a commission structure based on new business sales.
