Accident & Health Product Analyst-Princeton, NJ

My client offers a portfolio of distinctive specialty products. They provide Accident & Health coverages and other customized insurance solutions. Products are offered through distribution partners, which include wholesale brokers, retail brokers and designated managing general agents/underwriters (MGAs/MGUs) in the U.S. and abroad. Coverages are backed by the financial strength and security of the my client companies, rated “A+” (Superior) by A.M. Best.  They currently offer an opportunity to join their organization in their New Jersey location.  In this role, Accident & Health Product Analyst, you will assist the department in the development and implementation of A&H products and in the effort to ensure products comply with state rules and regulations.

 Accident & Health Product Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Participate in development/drafting process for A&H Products
  • Ability to assist in Full Product Cycle Implementation
  • Creation of underwriting rules/manuals, proposal output, work with sales and marketing on collateral
  • Ability to submit countrywide filing projects to state insurance departments via SERFF
  • Ability to perform regulatory research and to analyze research as it applies to products and business units
  • Ability to provide regulatory and compliance support
  • Track/submit annual filing requirement
  • Participate in claims/complaint handling process
  • Review advertising for compliance with filing approvals and state/federal regulations

Accident & Health Product Analyst Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of prior experience in A&H product development
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, including clear and effective communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft product suite; familiarity with SERFF filing submission process

Senior Accident & Health Underwriter Requirements:
  • College degree and 5+ years of underwriting experience preferably in the A&H insurance business. Good mathematical and computer abilities and full knowledge of rating principles.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance legislation.
  • Willingness to be hands-on is required, prior supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Strong communicator and be responsive and able to adhere to strict deadlines.

Senior Employee Benefits Consultant-Kansas City, MO

Our client is a large, national insurance brokerage looking to expand in their Kansas City location.  With recent growth, they have a need for a Senior Consultant in their Employee Benefits division.  This is a wonderful opportunity for a strong technical candidate who also has an entrepreneurial spirit and isn’t afraid of getting their hands dirty.  This is a growth position and will be very demanding, but incredibly rewarding both professionally and financially.


Senior Employee Benefits Consultant Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary contact in the consulting capacity to existing clients.
  • Administer client benefit marketing and renewals, as well as daily service functions.
  • Develop and manage client book of business and pursue additional revenue opportunities.
  • Assist in the management of the account service team and act as a resource to the department.
  • Coordinate and manage the activities of marketing and renewals, recommending measures to improve satisfaction, performance, and cost.
  • Participate in market meetings, seminars and training programs as directed.

Senior Employee Benefits Consultant Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience working with employee benefits, preferably with larger, self-funded clients.
  • Must possess state Life, Accident, and Health license.

  • Execute operating plans for each functional area, especially Administration and Premium Accounting.
  • Play a key role in strategy and plan implementation.
  • Oversee management audits of key third party relationships
  • Provide leadership input on a broad range of strategic, operational and financial issues

Vice President of A&H Claims-New Jersey

Vice President of A&H Claims Responsibilities

  • Create and execute strategies and operating plans for Claims services throughout the organization
  • Develop consistent global claim standards
  • Develop cost management mechanisms using internal and external resources
  • Schedule audits and review third party administrators that process claims on behalf of client
  • Review and manage complaints relating to the claims process
  • Interface with general counsel on any legal issues relating to claims processing
  • Develop appropriate claim metrics and dashboards
  • Lead the effort to define critical claim data and supporting technology
  • Develop programs to contain cost, manage vendors and reduce claim expenditures
  • Direct the development of an annual claim operating plan and financial budgets.
  • Monitor progress and present financial metrics


Vice President of A&H Claims Requirements

  • 15-20 years of experience (A&H, Life  and/or Reinsurance industry preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in a high growth, fast paced environment; work effectively across geographic and functional boundaries.
