Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial lines production and customer oriented Underwriting professional to be located in New York City. Responsible for the management of a team of underwriters and junior underwriters, involved in the production and servicing of a book of commercial property and casualty risks.
Underwriting Unit Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Leadership and management of a team
- Mentoring and development of team
- New business production
- Customer relationship management
- Risk review and analysis
Underwriting Unit Supervisor Requirements:
- 10+ years of underwriting experience
- College degree
- Professional designations preferable (CPCU, ARM etc.)
- Supervisory experience
- Problem solving and critical thinking
- Customer service and attention to detail
